Baldwin recommends the product Baldwin Water Boost 1.0 in combination with Prepac. This product gives the following advantages: - Higher cleaning performance / Faster cleaning - Less paper waste on sheetfed presses - Counteracts deposits of calcium carbonate in the cleaning system - No formation of algae and/or fungi in the water storage tank - Corrosion inhibiting - Less risks of web breaks - Prevents the water from splashing - Uniform spray distribution - Detaches slight troublesome piled-up paper coatings Manufacturer Product name Cloth Cleaning System PREPAC Cloth Cleaning System Dry cloth BALDWIN Baldwin Water Boost 1.0 - SOLCO S.T.R. - 3.2 Water quality BALDWIN will warrant the washing system to work perfectly only when water of perfect quality is used to avoid lime deposits etc. in the system. A suitable water condition plant should be used. (Reverse osmosis). Please consult Baldwin for an appropriate reverse osmosis water additive. If tap water is in use, a softening agent is to be added to the washing water to prevent lime deposits in the system. In combination with Prepac, Baldwin recommends the product Baldwin Water Boost 1.0 (see chapter 3.1). Attention: The tap water used for washing must have a hardness range and values of (see table) When water of a lower hardness is used, the corrosion hazard is increased. Therefore deionized water or distilled water must not be used. When water of a higher hardness is used, there may be undesirable lime deposits in the system. 30.November.2017/Consumables/EN 7
