Standard Incentives Staying competitive means businesses of all sizes need to look for ways to stretch every dollar. Improving the energy efficiency of your facility can lower operating costs and save money, while enhancing employee and customer comfort. Energy Trust of Oregon offers incentives to help reduce your upfront costs and make energy-efficiency upgrades more affordable. Savings from energy-efficient upgrades often pay for the improvements in just a few years, so you may achieve a faster return on investment. Are You Eligible? Energy Trust Existing Buildings incentives are available for qualifying energy-efficiency upgrades and retrofits to commercial, municipal, educational and institutional customers served by Energy Trust. To qualify, you must typically: Have a project site in Oregon served by and on a qualifying rate schedule for Portland General Electric or Pacific Power for electric-saving incentives. Have a project site in Oregon served by and on a qualifying rate schedule for NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista for gas-saving incentives. Be improving an existing structure. Pay the public purpose charge; check your bill or contact Energy Trust if you have questions. Additional eligibility requirements may apply, depending on your project. Incentives are subject to funding availability and may change. See final page for resources to help you confirm equipment qualification for incentives. Energy savings estimates are based on annual averages. Your actual savings may vary. Easy Steps to Savings 1. Find a contractor. Check our list of licensed and insured trade ally contractors or use your own contractor. 2. Install. Purchase and install the qualified equipment. 3. Submit application, W-9 and spec sheet. Submit within 90 days of installation. Your trade ally contractor or supplier can help. 4. Get your incentive. And keep on saving through reduced energy costs. Motion sensor must reduce the lighting load to 20 percent or less when it senses no activity for more than one minute. Measure is applicable to LED lighting retrofits or existing LED case lighting without a motion sensor installed. Incentive and energy savings values vary based on the controlled LED luminaire power (low or high): a low power luminaire is defined as one that uses < 4.5W/ft of fixture (single); a high power luminaire is defined as one using > 4.5W to < 8.5W/ft of fixture (double). 3 LED Case Lighting Requirements: Incentives paid are based on linear feet of installed LED fixture.
