PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This product is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug (A) as shown. An adapter (C) (not included) is available for connecting three-blade groundingtype plugs to two-slot receptacles (B). The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available. CAUTION: Use Only with GFCI Protected Receptacles.

FEATURES - OPERATIONS ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Assembly Time: 10-15 minutes. Tools Required: Phillips head screw driver. NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS FROM THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE YOUR FAN. Base/Pole Assembly You will need the base (P), lower outer pole (O), and L-shaped locking lever (Q). 1. Insert the threaded end of the L-shaped locking lever into the hole through the base cover. 2. While holding the base cover with one hand vertically, connect the outer pole to the base, sliding the L-shaped locking lever into the bottom of the outer pole with your other hand. Grill Screw and Nut P. Base Q. L-Shaped Locking Lever F G H I J 3. Turn the L-shaped locking lever clockwise to securely attach the pole to the base. 4. Set the base on the floor. Fan Head Assembly You are now ready to assemble the fan head. 1. Loosen the Rear Grill Securing Screw and Nut (E) from the motor housing. Position the rear grill (F) over the motor shaft (G), making certain that the 2 guiding posts at top of the rear grill centre aligns with the 2 top holes on the outer ring of the motor housing (J). First insert the 2 guilding posts into the 2 holes at top and pull down the 2 slots to lock in place. Then align the bottom screw post onto the bottom hole and replace the rear grill securing screw and nut (E) and tighten the screw. Guiding Posts E 2. Loosen the blade securing screw (R) on side of the fan blade (D) to slide the fan blade onto the motor shaft (G) through the rear protrusion. Make sure the blade securing screw (R) rest on the notch (flat side) of motor shaft and tighten the screw (R). CAUTION: Avoid contact with sharp end of blades. 3. Remove the grill screw and nut located on the bottom of the grill. 4. Centre the front grill (B) by aligning the Bionaire logo on the logo plate so that it is horizontal and parallel with the floor. Then place the bracket at the top over the front and rear grills with the hole on the bracket going through the center vertical bar. Fasten the other clips, making sure they go over both the front and rear grills. 5. Replace grill screw and nut (S) and tighten with screw driver.

FEATURES - OPERATIONS Final Assembly 1. Slide the inner extension pole (M) up from the lower outer pole (O), first loosening the height adjustment collar (N). To securely hold this position, tighten the height adjustment collar (N). 2. Place the fan head assembly into this extension pole, inserting the fan s head neck into the pole opening. Lock the neck into the extension pole by using the locking screw and nut (L) and secure tightly. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Set fan base on a dry, level surface. 2. Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet. Please make sure the Speed Control Knob is in the OFF (O) position. Speed Control Knob (H) is located on the Fan Motor Housing. 3. The SPEED is adjusted by turning the Speed Control Knob (H) to the desired setting, O-1-2-3. 4. The OSCILLATION control knob (I) is located on the top of the Fan Motor Housing. To start Oscillation, push Control knob down. To stop Oscillation, pull Speed Control Knob up. ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS Tilt-Adjustment Follow these instructions to tilt the Fan Head for upward angle air movement. 1. To change the tilting angle of the fan head, simply loosen the tilt-adjustment knob (K). 2. Move the fan head to the desired angle and firmly tighten the tilt-adjustment knob to lock into place. Height Adjustment Follow these instructions to adjust the height of the fan. 1. While holding the inner extension pole (M) with one hand, turn the height adjustment collar (N) counterclockwise to loosen the pole. 2. Adjust the pole to the desired height and firmly tighten the height adjustment collar in a clockwise direction. CLEANING/MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your fan. Please remember: FAN CLEANING Always unplug the fan before cleaning or disassembling. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing. Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner, benzine. Fan Blade Cleaning 1. To access the fan blade, remove the front grill and securing screw. 2. Clean the fan blade, front and rear grills with a soft, moist cloth. 3. Replace blade, tighten securing screw and securely fasten the front grill (see detailed instructions in the Fan Head Assembly section). Fan Head, Base and Pole Cleaning Using a soft, moist cloth, with or without a mild soap solution, carefully clean the fan base, pole and head. Please use caution around the motor housing area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.

We recommend using the original (or appropriately sized) box. Please remember to protect the fan from dust or moisture.
