CLIMBING ROSES: Climbing roses are terrific for providing loads of color throughout the year. All will require some support, either ties, or trellises. Prune climbing roses differently, leaving the tall canes, and just trim back the lateral branches. GANTER NURSERY: ROSES 2017 Cecil Brunner Climbing polyantha 1894 Beloved old-timer. Canes climb 12-14. Red Eden Large Flowered Climber 2004 Dark red, heavily petaled blooms with mild fragrance. Tropical Lightning NEW Large flowered climber 2017 Rich orange blooms with cream stripes. TREE ROSES: Our tree roses are Grade 1, 36 standard double grafted roses. Prune the tops of the tree roses to shape. Tree roses need extra care if planted bareroot, but if planted as a rooted container plant, they are just as easy are bush roses.
