Gas boilers
BORA BORA gas: the best suns BORA BORA GAS IS THE NEW GENERATION OF GAS BOILERS. IT REPEATS "THE BEST SUNSHINE" THAT MADE THE BORA FAMILY A SUCCESS: THE SINGLE BLOCK BOILER CONCEPT AND ABOVE ALL ITS ORIGINAL UNIQUE HEMISPHERICAL HEAT EXCHANGER. "EVEN MORE PROGRESS" COMPRISES ESPECIALLY A NEW GENERATION GAS BURNER TO BE FITTED ON ALL NEW BOILERS, COMPACT GRACEFUL DESIGN, VERY EASY INSTALLATION, REMOTE CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT AS AN OPTION. Tried and tested heat exchanger; Safe high performance new generation burner; Fully adaptable: same model with chimney or flue; Totally silent operation; Fully simplified installation; Very user friendly operation; Remote Internet or WAP operation and control as an option. THE MODELS Two choices of power: 16/24 and 19/30 kw. Two models: Heating only (GCI); Heating plus domestic hot water (GBI). All these models can be installed with chimneys or flues. BORA GAS ALL INNOVATION STRENGTHS BORA Gas incorporates the wellknown hemispherical heat exchanger that made the BORA oil model a success, under its very graceful casing with soft rounded shapes, as well as the new safe, very high performance and cost effective air/gas premixing modulating burner, and a 130 litre indirect cylinder for the hot water model. Its especially simple user friendly control panel has the wellknown removable BORA family control unit to be operated and controlled by the Internet and WAP as an option. Its white casing is exceptional for being rigid and solid. With its silent operation and very compact size, it is installed with no problems, even in demanding places or living rooms like the kitchen, as the models are only 1.4 m high for hot water and 0.85 m for heating only. 2
hine, even more progress BORA GAS BURNER: EVEN MORE PROGRESS This new generation burner has total air/gas premixing. Fully preset, it groups together all functions in a compact unit perfectly built in the boiler. This burner has a variable speed fan that makes the air/gas mixture before combustion according to the power required. This mixture is continuously controlled by the combined membrane valve set with appropriate power of 65 to 100% as this fork prevents any condensation problems. Reduced speed CLOSED VALVE LOW OUTPUT Accelerated speed OPEN VALVE INCREASED OUTPUT LOW POWER FULL POWER HEAT EXCHANGER: THE BEST SUNSHINE The BORA Gas heat exchanger is the well-known body of unique design fitted on the oil model whose reliability, long life and performance are outstanding. Comprising a single piece with no connections, its hemispherical shape is technically the best as it behaves perfectly under pressure, with forces acting symmetrically on the external face. Irrigation is regular as, there being no compartments, the water temperature is uniform thereby limiting condensation risks. In short, its very large heating surface enables the thermal load to be reduced without increasing the weight of cast iron, guaranteeing very long life. Air/gas ratio modulation Combustion, round a stainless steel burner pipe lined with a sleeve provides perfect heat distribution in the BORA gas combustion chamber. This new burner s advantages are very significant: first significant improvement in performance, constant combustion quality, significant discharge reduction as the NOx rate is much less than an old generation burner s and CO discharge is very low. 3
BORA BORA gas: the best suns HIGH PERFORMANCE The burner heat exchanger combination is one of unrivalled efficiency especially as the BORA Gas has been particularly well insulated with complete lack of heat bridges and special ceramic insulation on the combustion chamber door. BORA Gas has performance above 93% and is classed as low temperature according to RT 2000. For a boiler of this class the pollution levels are particularly low: practically nonexistent for CO, they are below 35 mg/lkwhr for NOx. As for sound performance they are astonishing since BORA Gas is almost silent. Models Power kw 16/24 19/30 Acoustic pressure dba 43/48 45/50 UNLIMITED HOT WATER The comfortable 130 litre capacity of the built in indirect cylinder (GBI model) allows a special output of 260 litres in 10 minutes. Its enamelled steel tank fitted with generously sized horizontal coils allows reloading time under 10 minutes and guarantees perfect hygiene. Fully protected by a CFC free polyurethane shell losses on shutdown are limited to less than 74 kw. INSTALLATION IN A FLASH All BORA Gas models can be installed either on a chimney or flue simplifying the choice. GBI or GBI boilers are delivered in one single package, ready for installation. Connection For heating, BORA has 2 outputs and 2 returns that can be used without constraints: on the right, on the left and even diagonally. Offsetting the branch lines relative to the 125 mm diameter draught diverter makes connections easier. The BORA is fitted with a gas stop valve on its rear face for more safety. The electrical connections are simplified. Connection and gas tap. ECO heating module. They are made on an easily accessible specific terminal strip outside the fascia. 11 Delivery of boiler, burner, indirect cylinder and control unit in a single pack. All BORA boilers, whatever the output or model (CCI, GBI)are delivered in a single pack to the engineer, ready for installation. logistics are simpler, making delivery faster; the indirect cylinder is connected, the pipes are factory fitted and the control device is pre-set: no assembly is required on site; considerable time is saved and nothing is forgotten; for the flue model, flue pack in addition. Easy maintenance All BORA components are directly accessible from the front of the boiler. To access the burner and heat exchanger, it is only necessary to remove the screw which holds the front panel in position. This is the only part that has to be removed for servicing and repairs. Opening the door gives full access to all the heating surfaces and also to the draught diverter. All surfaces can be cleaned from the front using the brush supplied with the boiler. For the flue models, after removing the burner cover, access is identical. The two vertical and horizontal terminals are fitted with movable endpieces for cleaning the pipes.
