Systemised marking Your marking needs One of the main requirements of a marking system is that it clearly shows how your components are configured. This includes a precise print image, convenient handling and the guarantee of usability in an industrial environment. The software should provide optimum support during data entry and management. During marker output, the speed should be adapted to your needs. Markers: constructive solutions for all cabinet-related applications. From the shrink sleeve to the metal marker. Printers: laser, ink or thermal transfer. Industrial printing systems for every requirement. Designed with one eye on the future to suit your requirement profile The marking result You will be won over by marking systems from Weidmüller. We don t just offer you a complete, convenient process chain from data entry to ready-for-use markers for your individual cabinet configuration. We offer you marking solutions that are already geared towards the future requirements of progressive automation. This means you are one step ahead of state-of-the-art! 1366810000 2013/2014.3
Colour coding with PrintJet DVNCED Colour coding, only with PrintJet DVNCED Relevant standards specify the need for colour coding in order to clearly identify different components, such as wires or push buttons. Coloured markings can be applied accurately and securely with the PrintJet inkjet printer from Weidmüller, which has a highly superior colour-printing capability. The marking of components, sub-assemblies, devices, wires and connectors within your electrical system means that you will have clear identification throughout its entire life cycle. s a result, service and maintenance work is made significantly easier and potential faults can be quickly located and immediately eliminated. Clear identification of electrical equipment and systems is obligatory, as defined in relevant standards such as DIN EN 60204-1:2006, entitled Safety of machinery - Electrical equipment of machines - Part 1: General requirements. To ensure that the markings have the best visibility, these and other standards recommend colour coding, in most cases. blue or green, are specified for various other conditions. In addition to the compulsory colour coding, the standard recommends identifying push buttons in the vicinity of the control panel, or preferably directly on the control panel, with [corresponding] symbols [ ] to prevent any confusion. Wherever colours are used to identify wires, use of the colour throughout the length of the wire is recommended, either through the colour of the insulation or through coloured markings at regular intervals, at the ends, or in accessible locations. (DIN EN 60204-1:2006). gain, defined colours are specified for certain types of conductor in this case, e.g. green/yellow for PE wires or light blue for neutral wires. Fast and accurate recognition of warning and hazard information through colour coding In contrast to black and white printing, colour coding enables faster and more accurate recognition of the type of information that the marking is in place to convey. This is of particular significance when it applies to warning and hazard information. For example, due to its colour symbolism, the colour red indicates: Warning there is a possible hazard here. ccordingly, DIN EN 60204-1:2006 states that the colour RED [ ] shall be used for EMERGENCY STOP and EMERGENCY OFF controls. Other colours, such as yellow, High definition and in colour In these cases, where colour coding is required, you will benefit from the unique characteristics of our PrintJet DVNCED inkjet printer which delivers high-definition, colour printing of texts, frames, lines, graphics, barcodes, serial numbers and photos. The major advantage is that only white markers are needed and that they can be printed with a total of 256 different colours. marker can be printed using any number of different inks, without having to use individual matte colours. M-Print PRO, our software for printing and ordering labels and markers, can be used.4 1366810000 2013/2014
Colour coding with PrintJet DVNCED to fully customise each marker before printing it with the PrintJet DVNCED printer. This system requires significantly fewer article numbers than when using colour markers, which are often only available as special orders. The effort involved in ordering and stocking is therefore considerably reduced. This enables standardcompliant coding in a time-saving and cost-efficient manner - for fast and accurate identification. Overview of particular standards which specify or recommend colour coding: DIN EN 60204-1 (Safety of machinery - Electrical equipment of machines - Part 1: General requirements) IEC 60445 (Identification of equipment terminals, conductor terminations and wires) IEC 60446 (Basic and safety principles for manmachine interface - Identification of wires by colours or alphanumerics) DIN EN 50174-2 (Information technology - Cabling installation - Part 2: Installation planning and practices inside buildings) 1366810000 2013/2014.5
