>> PRESS RELEASE BRUNNER COMFORT UPHOLSTERY SUPPORTS REHAB The out-patient rehab centre Jena relies on comfortable Brunner furniture setting new standards in terms of health care services in the process. The health care sector is particularly discerning when it comes to chairs. A case in point: The out-patient rehab centre Jena belonging to the Gräfliche Kliniken. Thanks to the extra-comfortable and ergonomic Brunner seating furniture, this contract furniture manufacturer from Baden, Germany, convinced the awarding authority and the architects alike. Last autumn, the out-patient rehab centre Jena (Ambulantes Reha Zentrum Jena) first opened its doors to patients. On some 3,800 sqm surface space on three floors, it offers prevention and therapy to orthopedic and neurological patients, using the latest technology. In order to convey a sense of calm and harmony to patients suffering from a wide array of illnesses, the awarding authority wanted to realise a unified formal language throughout the entire building. And the furniture was to sport a puristic design, matching the straightforward formal language created by the Stadermann architectural studio.
>> 2 Requirements: robust, resilient, reposing The chairs were to exude a sense of stability and security, to offer a high level of seating comfort, and to provide good support for both pelvis and vertebral column. Further requirements included remaining unblemished by stains and disinfectants, and being robust in daily use. Brunner was able to carry the day against severe competition thanks to its high-quality functional furniture series. In particular, the extra-comfort seat upholstery of the milanolight comfort and first line series convinced architect Ottmar Stadermann and this team. Brunner scores in terms of innovation and sustainability A further plus: Brunner manufacturing takes place exclusively in Germany, and Brunner pays great attention to sustainable raw materials. We found Brunner particularly convincing because of their innovative products and their use of sustainable materials, Stadermann sums it up. Now patients can wait comfortably seated on milanolight comfort and first line chairs equipped with armrests. The lounge chair taceo, specifically created for the health care sector, has also been deployed. Matching side tables, central column and stand-up tables, bar stools and arm chairs of further series complement the furnishings. For the employees, too 2.0 swivel chairs, finasoft conference chairs and torino tables were selected, among others.
