1 Overview The display module of the FAFNIR products VISY-Command GUI and VISY-View Touch can be used as an alternative to a petrol station computer for displaying and analysing the fuel data. Representation of the tank data, delivery data and various alarms is done on a coloured TFT screen. All functions are accessible using the touch screen user interface. The software VISY-SoftView is firmware for this display module. Alarms are visually shown by the display module and are also audibly signalled by a buzzer. As an option, a printer can be connected to the serial port. This documentation describes the usage of VISY-SoftView. For configuring VISY- SoftView like an administrator, see the following manual: Technical Documentation VISY-SoftView Administrator, art. no. 350144 For use of Oil Separators (OS) with VISY-Stick probes as data source, a separate guide for configuration and use of VISY-SoftView is available: VISY-SoftView Oil Separator, art. no. 350193 All significant configuration data, alarms and product data, VISY-SoftView obtains from VISY-Command. 1.1 Safety instructions The VISY-SoftView software application is intended for use in petrol stations. The software provides the capability to evaluate filling levels and to monitor tanks and their supply pipes. The system must be used exclusively for this purpose. Please observe and follow all product safety notes and operating instructions. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any form of damage resulting from improper use! VISY-Command GUI and VISY-View Touch, on which the VISY-SoftView software application is installed, have been developed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the latest good engineering practices and generally accepted safety standards. Nevertheless, hazards may arise from their use. The following safety precautions must be observed in order to reduce the risk of injury, electric shocks, fire or damage to the equipment: Do not change or modify the system or add any equipment without the prior consent of the manufacturer. Only use original parts. These comply with the technical requirements specified by the manufacturer. The installation, operation and maintenance of the VISY-Command GUI and VISY-View Touch with VISY-SoftView software must be carried out by expert personnel only. Operators, fitters and service technicians must observe all applicable safety regulations. This also applies to any local safety and accident prevention regulations which are not stated in these operating instructions. The following safety information must be observed: The touchscreen must be operated only by finger or by means of a stylus designed for this purpose. The use of pointed objects (e.g. screwdrivers, pens) may cause damage to the touch screen. 2 Module description The VISY-SoftView software consists of the following modules: VISY-SoftView Starter VISY-SoftView Both software components are described in the sections below. 3 VISY-SoftView Starter The VISY-SoftView Starter module is launched automatically by the display module's operating system and has two tasks. Start phase During the start phase, the user is informed that the VISY-SoftView main application is starting up. The start process is shown by a progress bar. The start phase lasts approximately 30 seconds. Figure 1: VISY-SoftView Starter As soon as the VISY-SoftView main application has been fully loaded and the main screen is displayed, the starter application closes its window and begins to run as a background service. Background service VISY-SoftView Starter runs as a control instance in the background and monitors the VISY-SoftView main module. Page 3/48 VISY-SoftView Starter

4 VISY-SoftView The module VISY-SoftView is a display and report program for displaying tank information of the VISY-X system. All VISY-SoftView functions are accessible using the touchscreen interface. Individual functions of the main screen can be password-protected, see chapter "Password", VISY-SoftView Administrator, art. no. 350144. VISY-SoftView Page 4/48

4.1 Main screen in the standard mode The following diagram shows a typical example of the main screen in the standard mode with 5 tanks and 1 oil separator (OS). The most important functions can be selected directly using the function keys on the main screen. The display of the main screen depends on the configuration. Figure 2 shows an example in "Standard" mode; figure 3 shows an example in "TD Display" mode (Tank Driver display). The Work mode is set in the menu "Reports and Configuration". 4.2 Main screen in the TD mode (Tank Driver mode) The graphic below shows a typical example of the main screen the TD mode. 4.3 Date and time Main screen -> Display panel for date and time This display panel shows the date and the time; the time displayed here is synchronised system-wide. As soon as you touch this field, all open windows close and the application returns to the main screen. 4.4 System messages Main screen -> Display field for system messages This display panel shows the system status, as well as instructions on the use of the main screen function keys. The system status relates to the communication between the display module and the evaluation unit. For example, System Status: OK will be displayed when conditions are normal. Touching this field closes all open windows automatically and the application returns to the main screen. 4.5 FAFNIR logo Main screen -> FAFNIR logo Pressing the FAFNIR logo button calls up the software version and contact information of the FAFNIR GmbH. 4.6 Tank display The main screen displays the most important tank information: Tank number and product name Alarm (if active) Graphical representation of the tank content Ullage and volume display Figure 4: Single tank Tank number: Product: Alarm: Ullage: Volume: same as the probe terminal number of the VI card the product name configured for this tank currently active alarms for this tank available tank capacity for filling current product volume in this tank The display is continuously updated so that all measured values are currently displayed at all times. In this overview, the ullage and volume are displayed in whole litres. The size of the tank graphic depends on the quantity of tanks configured in VISY- Setup. Up to eight tanks can be shown simultaneously on the main screen. If more than eight tanks have been configured, the remaining tanks are shown on a second screen. To change to the next screen, select the "More tanks" function key. The product level is displayed in proportion to the measured filling level. Each product has its own colour assigned. Touching one of the tank graphics opens the Tank Details screen for this tank (see section below). VISY-SoftView Page 8/48

4.6.1 Tank details Main screen -> Tank Details After touching a tank (example: Tank 6) the screen appears with tank details. Figure 5: Tank Details The Tank Details screen is continuously updated and shows the current values of the tank selected. The Alarm, Deliveries, Print and Static Leak Detection function keys are associated with this tank. The Tank Details screen is subdivided into the following fields: Tank Graphics Tank Configuration Measurement Values Alarms Age of Data (wireless operation only) RF Field Strength (only for radio operation) RF Battery (only for radio operation) Function keys The individual subfields are explained in the sections that follow. Tank Graphics Displays the tank selected from the main screen, with tank number, product name and tank level. If an alarm is active for this tank, the tank graphic will show the text Alarm. Age of Data This data field is displayed in wireless operation only (VISY-RF wireless system). In wireless operation, the probe data are transmitted in intervals and signals may be affected by car or lorry traffic at the petrol station. For this reason, it is important to know the age of the measured values received. RF Field strength This data field is displayed in wireless operation only and is an indication of the reception field strength. RF Battery This data field is displayed in wireless operation only and is an indication of the transmitter's battery charge. Function keys Button Function Description Alarms Opens the Alarm reporting function for the tank selected (see the section below). Delivery Opens the Delivery reporting function for the tank selected (see the section below). Static Leak Detection Print Opens the "Static Leak Detection" reporting function for the tank selected (see the section below). Prints the values displayed on this page. 4.7.1 Deliveries Main screen -> System functions -> Deliveries Reports and alerts can be sent via e-mail, if these functions have been configured in the configuration menu "SMTP Server" and "System Options". Selecting this function displays the deliveries of the current month. The month for which these entries are displayed is shown on the wide month button below the Deliveries header. Delivery entry details window For clarity, only the most important parameters are displayed for a selection in the list field. The desired delivery entry can be selected using the up and down buttons. The selected entry/line is highlighted with a dark background. Pressing the Details button opens the Delivery details window. This window displays all available details for the delivery selected. Rapidly scrolls to the top half of the Delivery details window. Prints the values displayed on this page. Close Closes the current screen. Speed button: Due to limited space, not all delivery details can be shown in the details window at once. The speed button enables the user to view the other half of the list instantly. The scroll direction is indicated by the position of the dash (top/bottom). Whenever the speed button is pressed, the symbol changes to represent the opposite direction. Page 17/48 VISY-SoftView

4.7.3 Static Leak Detection (report function all tanks) Main screen -> System functions -> Static Leak Detection Selecting this function displays the Static Leak Detection (SLD) entries for the current month. The month for which these entries are displayed is shown on the wide month button below the Static Leak Detection header. Using the +/- arrow keys, the user can select a different month and then update the list field by pressing the "Month button". 4.8 Alarms Reports and alarms can be sent via e-mail, if these functions have been configured in the configuration menu "SMTP Server" and "System Options", see Technical Documentation: VISY-SoftView Administrator, art. no. 350144 4.8.1 New alarms New alarms are displayed in the alarm dialogue box and at the same time, an audible alarm signal is activated, the alarm light starts blinking and a printout is initiated. The button "Confirm" is effective for all alarms shown in the display window. Use the arrow keys to display a next group of alarms. 4.9.2 Probes and devices of one type Main screen -> Environmental Sensors -> single probe / device type By selection of a specific device type (in this example: "Interstitial") the entire devices of the selected type are displayed, here all of the 16 possible interstitial probes. The probes or devices are displayed as fields within the main screen. The function keys of the main screen are, therefore, still available, with the print and alarm functions relating to the probes or devices on display.
