The design basis, suh as flow and return temperature, volume flow and differential pressure are maintained during operation. An effiient operation of the high-effiieny pump is ensured. Low return temperatures guarantee an effiient operation of the ondensing boiler. The heat or ooling output arrives where it is needed. There is no over- or undersupply. Wrong settings, suh as inrease of the flow temperature, exessive volume flows and resulting exessive return temperatures, undersupply of hydraulially underprivileged terminal units, but also oversizing or wrong irulation pump settings are avoided this way. Hydroni balaning means the optimum water distribution within the system whih is, for instane, ahieved by supplying the required volume flow to the radiator via presettable thermostati valves. This is onfirmed by many studies, suh as the Optimus study. Up to % of energy an be saved by arrying out the hydroni balaning desribed therein. The benefit/ost ratio of this low investment measure is exellent. Amortisation times of three to four years an be ahieved. 3 Automati / manual hydroni balaning Standard heating systems are equipped with thermostati valves whih are preset on the basis of a pipework alulation requiring knowledge of the installed pipework and the radiator volume flows (manual hydroni balaning). The layout of the pipework is often unknown and this makes a alulation almost impossible, however, Oventrop developed the thermostati valves with Q-Teh for an automati ontrol and hydroni balaning (automati hydroni balaning). The valves with Q-Teh an also be used for the hydroni balaning of new heating systems in whih the layout of the pipework is known. Automati hydroni balaning with Q-Teh The new Oventrop Q-Teh for an automati flow ontrol in heating and ooling systems allows the adaptation of the volume flows aording to the requirements of the respetive terminal unit (e.g. radiator). The required volume flow through the terminal unit is determined by the heat load alulation and the hosen temperature differene. The volume flow is set diretly at the valve with Q-Teh and is automatially limited to the set value (illustr. ). This way, hydroni balaning of the system is arried out easily with the help of the valves with Q-Teh. Thermostati valves Series AQ with standard valve insert Grafik Heizkörperanlage (aus neuem Katalog) The new thermostati valves of the Series AQ limit the volume flow to a preset value. A omplex alulation of the presetting values is no longer neessary. Only the required volume flows must be known. Control of the volume flow is arried out by the valve one the orret volume flow of the terminal unit has been set. This way, hydroni balaning of the system is arried out easy. The new valve of the Series AQ ombines a thermostati valve and a diaphragm ontrolled flow regulator. The nominal value is set by use of a presetting key and turning the handwheel. The funtions of the thermostati valve and the flow ontroller are integrated in a ompat valve insert whih an be replaed by using the speial tool Demo-Blo without draining the system.
