Urea electrical diaphragm pumps
Why using urea? Motorized vehicles are rejecting harmful pollutant emissions mostly composed of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and nitrogen (Nox) that we try to filter using the principle of catalytic reduction. A good way is the SCR technology (selective catalytic reduction) in which combustion is optimised with the direct reduction of particulate emissions. The chemical reaction of ammonia with the nitrogen oxides is producing two harmless substances water vapour and nitrogen. The ammonia additive is also named as Diesel Exhaust Fluids (DEF). It's an extremely high purity, 32.5% aqueous solution of urea and demineralised water. The additive is stored in a separate tank and is sprayed with a predefined quantity on the emissions. Post-treatment is based on a simple principle: the chemical reaction of ammonia with the nitrogen oxides to produce two harmless substances: water vapour and nitrogen. Urea is efficient in reducing harmful emissions and is therefore environment friendly. Many motor vehicle manufacturers already implemented SCR solutions and comply with current or even future Euro 6 norms or 2010 EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) for the USA.
