KOVAN Ekoline with its headquarters in Gračanica (BIH) where the heart of Balkans steel production is situated, was founded in 1996 founded by Said Karalić. Upon its establishment, the company had only 2 employees and now employs over 300 people. In 2007, a subsidiary company EKOLINE international was founded specifically for marketing, technical support and spare parts distribution across the EU countries. Based in Maribor, Slovenia, the company has a dedicated 24hr/7 day customer service line available to 9 different languages. The use of biomass in heating systems is beneficial because it uses agricultural, forest, urban and industrial residues and waste to produce heat and electricity with less effect on the environment than fossil fuels. Using biomass fuel has a limited long term effect on the environment because the carbon in biomass is part of the natural carbon cycle; while the carbon in fossil fuels is not and permanently adds carbon to the environment when burned. 2
EKOLINE boilers have been designed specifically for the purpose of heating water to temperatures of up 95 C and are constructed in such a way to achieve a high degree of combustion efficiency and a optimum utilisation of heat which is produced in the boiler. The combustion efficiency degree of 96,4 % is achieved as following: The Ekoline burner is designed so that all parameters which influence the burning process of pellet can be controlled and by constructing the boilers with fire-resistant steel which resist very high temperatures adding to boiler life span. Ekoline s specially designed burner is design to operate with temperatures of up to 1200 C which contributes to the boiler high efficiency rate. Unlike classic industrial boilers on solid fuels, Ekoline boilers do not require every day maintenance, so that at the very beginning, while still considering the idea of introducing central heating into industrial processes, you can count on true financial savings. Cleaning and maintenance of Ekoline boilers is simplified when compared to other boilers on solid fuels, mainly because of the high degree of energy utilization (96,4 %) the total amount of ash, after completed combustion process is negligible and it can be removed with a vacuum cleaner, which is included in the additional equipment package. How combustion works. The combustion process in the boiler starts with the input of a certain amount of pellet into the burner pot. Subsequently the igniter is activated. When heating pellets a gas is produced in the burner that ignites due to the heat produced by the igniter. After the first activation the igniter turns off and further production of gas and combustion of pellets is achieved through the heat gained from combustion of pellet bio gas and air passed by the primary air fan. Addition of pellet and air depends on the desired water temperature. 5

The Ekoline feed Dosing system is based on two technological features vacuum transporting and transporting with dosing screw.
