Straight forward step by step assembly instruction printed in easy to read text with pictures, makes assembly a pleasure, not a pain. 2. With the disabled and physically impaired grower in mind, easy to attach tee fittings and tubes connect the entire system with no tools necessary. 3. Oxygen rich nutrient water floods the root zone and provides excellent air/water transfer. 4. Simple to operate by pushing time trippers to set any watering cycle that can be imagined. 5. Easily expandable Gro system by adding sites and moving EZ pull caps. Built In Safeguard for your Plants EXCLUSIVE BRAIN DRAIN FEATURE The Oceanus 3 includes the patented proprietary Titan Controls Brain Drain feature that accurately and consistently manages the DRAIN pump through digitally controlled mini cycles pumping out the exact amount of nutrient solution while leaving an emergency reserve at each Gro bucket to safeguard your plants against power outages or other unforeseen issues. Assembly Instructions STEP 1- Remove green factory seal from 55 gallon reservoir. STEP 2- Organize the Parts Become familiar with your Tsunami Systems components by removing and organizing your parts to make assembly easy and complete the following checklist: Flo-n-Gro Tsunami Grow System Components List ü QTY Part Name Part Description 1 Controller Oceanus 3 - Ebb & Flo controller with EZ Pull End Caps & 3 ¾ black tube 6 Outer Bucket 5 Gallon black bucket with grommet installed 6 Inner Bucket 5 Gallon black bucket with drain holes 2 Pump High quality pump 6 Tee ¾ tee fitting 2 ¾ Spool 10 spool of ¾ black tubing coil 6 ¾ Short 3 foot pieces of ¾ black tubing 6 Clamp ¾ black click clamps 1 Reservoir Blue 55 Gallon Reservoir with fittings and lid 3

Everything checked off? If yes, proceed to STEP 3. If you are missing anything or have any questions or problems, please call the Titan Controls technical phone line 1-888-808-4826. STEP 3 - Assembly and Set-Up Assemble Flood Lines 1. Place the 5 gallon inner bucket into the 5 gallon outer bucket. 2. Arrange the 5 gallon buckets to match the lighting footprint of your garden. (PHOTO #1) HINT It is important to remember that the black buckets must be at the same level as the Oceanus 3 for the system to function properly. HINT Consider locating the system close to a drain or available method of properly disposing of the old nutrients. 3. Insert 3/4 tees into outer black bucket. (PHOTO #2) 4. Connect ¾ short tubes between each black outer bucket at tee fittings to form desired number of flood lines. (PHOTO #3) Connect Oceanus 3 to the Flood Lines 5. Cut a length of ¾ tubing matching the desired distance between the Oceanus 3, and the first flood line. 6. Remove one of the black ¾ EZ pull end caps from one of the Oceanus 3 output fittings (the output fitting is located at the bottom of the Oceanus 3) and connect the first end of the ¾ cut tubing to the now exposed output fitting. 7. Connect the second end of the ¾ cut tubing to the front end of the flood line and take the just removed EZ pull end cap and slide it over the end of the last ¾ tee fitting at the end of the line. (See PHOTO 3 for example). 8. Repeat for each flood line. EZ pull end caps provide the ability to expand and contract your grow system and are necessary to prevent flooding. DO NOT DISCARD! Flooding will occur if you fail to cap each flood line. Connect Oceanus 3 To 1st Pump 9. Use the included 32 section of ¾ black tubing and attach it to the first pump outlet securing with a ¾ clamp. Storage Temperature = 32 F to 125 F Operating Temperature = 45 F to 115 F Pump Specifications: See pump packaging for details System Specifications Troubleshooting Tips If your Tsunami System is not functioning as expected, try the following: 1. Verify all power sources, i.e. wall outlet, FILL outlet, DRAIN outlet and pumps to see that each is providing 120 Volt power. 2. Don t allow the reservoir to run dry. Try to keep at minimum of 50% full at all times. 3. Check and clean all fittings and tubing to insure that they are not clogged with roots or other debris. 4. If your pump is making noise but not pumping water, rock from side to side to release air bubbles trapped in the pump. This normally occurs when the pump runs dry. 5. Check our website or call our Tech Service Rep for more troubleshooting tips. 4 9

Maintenance of the Tsunami System: The nutrient solution in the Tsunami System will need to be changed approximately every 10 to 14 days based on your plants feeding requirements. In between water changes, you may top off your reservoir with fresh water or a reduced strength of nutrient solution. Consult nutrient manufactures feed chart or go on-line and research nutrient feeding regimens for more information. To insure your system is functioning properly: Regularly clean the debris filters on your pumps. Check all tubing for kinks or cracking. Verify that the white float switches in the Oceanus 3 are clean and free of obstructions. Inspect anti-siphon holes on FILL and DRAIN fittings on 55 gallon reservoir. Clean if necessary. Wipe down inside of Oceanus 3 and reservoir with towel to remove film and debris. FULLY CLEAN Tsunami system between each crop. Remove white float switches (making sure you properly orient them before replacing) and clean using white vinegar to remove corrosion. 10. Attach the other end of the 32 section of ¾ black tubing to the DRAIN fitting under the controller lid and secure with 3/4 clamp. (PHOTO 5) 11. Pull the power cord through the top lid on the Oceanus 3 and plug it into the DRAIN OUTLET on the side of the Oceanus 3 (PHOTO 6) Connect Reservoir to 2nd Pump 12. Cut a piece of ¾ black tubing that is long enough to reach from the ¾ FILL fitting to the bottom of the reservoir (Approximately 40 ) 13. Connect the first end of the ¾ black tubing to the 2nd pump outlet and lower the pump to the bottom of the reservoir. Use the ¾ clamp to secure tubing to pump. Then lower pump into bottom of reservoir (PHOTO 7) 14. Connect the other end of the ¾ tubing to the ¾ FILL fitting on the side of the reservoir and secure with the ¾ clamp. (PHOTO 8) Connect Reservoir to the Oceanus 3 15. Locate the reservoir where it will be easy to fill and in close proximity to the Oceanus 3 controller. 16. Take the Power cord from the pump through the hole in the lid of the reservoir and plug it into the FILL output on the Oceanus 3. (PHOTO 9) Drain Plug Fill PHOTO #9 PHOTO #8 PHOTO #7 PHOTO #6 PHOTO #5 17. System Test Instructions Suggested Tsunami System Pre-Use Test 1. Double check each fitting connection for a secure fit to prevent leaks! 2. Fill reservoir with warm water only. (The warm water will relax the black tubing) a. DO NOT put your growing media into the 5 gallon Gro buckets, as you will want to observe the water levels. b. DO NOT put your valuable nutrients into the reservoir, you may need to drain and fix something. 3. Plug the Oceanus 3 into a 120 Volt wall outlet. 4. Turn the minute hand clockwise just until the FILL cycle is initiated. a. You should hear the pump in the reservoir activated and running. b. You should see the GREEN LED on Oceanus 3 blinking for the FILL CYCLE. c. You should see the 5 gallon Gro sites filling with water until the upper float switch on the Oceanus 3 has floated up and stopped after reaching the upper position for 5 seconds. d. After the 5 seconds has elapsed, the reservoir pump will shut off. e. You should see a solid GREEN LED light indicating that the FILL CYCLE is complete. 5. Now, turn the minute hand clockwise again to initiate the DRAIN CYCLE. a. You should hear the pump in the Oceanus 3 come on. b. You should see the RED LED on the Oceanus 3 blinking for the DRAIN CYCLE. c. You should see the 5 gallon Gro sites draining water and pumping it back into the reservoir. d. A proprietary Brain Drain feature will manage the Oceanus 3 pump through a few extra cycles to pump out the exact amount of water leaving just enough in the Gro sites to maintain the seals at the tee fittings and safeguard your plants in case of a power outage. e. After the DRAIN CYCLE is complete, you will see a solid RED LED indicating that the DRAIN CYCLE is complete. f. You should see a small amount of water in each Gro site. Operating Instructions 1. First, unplug the Oceanus 3 from the 120 Volt wall outlet. 2. Fill up to 3 inches from the top of the inner bucket with your choice of hydroponic grow media. (We suggest using Hydroton grow media) 3. When transplanting starts, place the top of the transplant cube approximated 2 inches under the surface of the grow media to prevent the transplant from floating during FILL CYCLE. 4. Fill the reservoir with your choice of PH balanced hydroponic nutrient solution. 5. For longer periods between maintenance, fill the 55 gallon reservoir completely and place an air stone at the bottom of the reservoir to evenly mix nutrient solution. 6. Set the desired number of times for the FILL CYCLE by pushing the white time trippers to the inside of the ring (PHOTO 13). HINT Recommend 2 FILL CYCLES during daylight period only. First one hour after lights come on, and second FILL CYCLE one hour before lights go off. Add third FILL CYCLE in middle of the day after plants have matured. 7. Set the current time of day by advancing minute hand clockwise to the corresponding time of day. 8. There are FILL and DRAIN CYCLE LED s on the front of the Oceanus 3. a. The GREEN FILL CYCLE LED will blink slowly to begin with and then faster as the Tsunami System continues to fill. b. After the system is full of water the GREEN FILL LED light will be solid green. c. When the DRAIN CYCLE begins, the RED LED will begin to blink slowly, and then faster as the Tsunami System drains the water out. d. After the DRAIN CYCLE is complete, the RED DRAIN LED will be solid red. 9. After you have set the FILL CYCLES plug the Oceanus 3 into a 120 Volt power outlet. 10. The Tsunami System will now function based on your custom settings. 11. If both the FILL and DRAIN LED lights blink back and forth, unplug the Oceanus 3 from the 120 volt outlet, wait 10 seconds, synchronize timer with float switches, and plug the Oceanus 3 back into the 120 Volt power source. This will reset the Oceanus 3 controller. If you have successfully conducted the Pre-Use Test, proceed to the Operating Instructions. 6 7
