Industrial Fire Detection

A new definition of Industrial Fire Detection. Product overview detectors GSME-M4 TPME GSME are fire gas detectors equipped with four semiconductor gas sensors. Actuation and analysis of the sensors can be fully parameterized so that the GSME can be optimally adapted to almost every environment. With their innovative sinter metal filter technology, the detectors are protected against the penetration of dusts and dirt. However, the gases to be detected diffuse through the filter barrier without problems. GSME-X22 Based on a self-assessment with Manufacturer s Declaration, the GSME-X22 are approved for the use in explosive dust atmospheres of zone 22. HOTSPOT-X0 HOTSPOT-X20 HOTSPOT-X22 The HOTSPOT-X series is designed and approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Using the TPME, the operating temperatures of critical system parts can be integrated into monitoring using the Advanced Discovery System. The TPME sensor elements are simply bolted to the system parts to be monitored (e.g., drive, bearing, etc.) and alarm thresholds are stored. They are by default equipped with permanently installed jet water protection. The ADICOS connection cable is bolted to the detector using its bayonet plug-in coupling to prevent accidental disconnection. GSME-X20 The GSME-X20 have been type-approved and certified by a notified body according to the ATEX Directive as well as according to IECEx. They are approved for the use in explosive dust atmospheres of zone 20 to 22. GSME-X20 replace all variants of the predecessor model GSME-Ex. HOTSPOT-1000 The ADICOS HOTSPOT is an intelligent infrared detector. It enables the optical detection of smoldering clusters as well as hot system parts. Using a thermal imaging camera with 1000 temperature-sensitive pixels, the entire field of view of the detector can be parameterized with alarm criteria. This enables optimum adaptation to the environment. HOTSPOT-X0 is the world s first infrared detector with an approval for Ex-zone 0. The HOTSPOT-20 and the HOTSPOT-X22 are used in potentially dust explosive atmospheres. The detectors are typeapproved by a notified body according to the ATEX directive as well as according to IECEx.

GSME-M4 The Next Generation Fire Gas Detectors The GSME fire gas detectors are the spearhead of the Advanced Discovery System. They detect open and hidden smoldering fires already in spectrum is recorded during commissioning. For this reason, the GTE offers their GSME as variants type-approved according The GSME-X20 offers the same functionality as a standard GSME-M4, however, it is approved for operation in explosive dust atmospheres of zone 20 to 22.

GSME-X22 Fire Gas Detectors for Ex-Zone 22 We offer the fire gas detector GSME-X22 as economic intermediate variant between the GSME-M4 without Ex certification and the type-approved GSME-X20. This detector is approved for the use in explosive dust atmospheres of zone 22 based on a self-assessment with manufacturer s declaration.

HOTSPOT-1000 Intelligent Infrared-Detectors The ADICOS HOTSPOT is a thermal IR camera with an innovative infrared measuring technology and intelligent signal evaluation for quick detection of all kinds of smoldering and open fires even in their formation phase. or other transport systems for smoldering clusters. HOTSPOT-X20 / -X22 Infrared Detectors for Ex-Zones 20 and 22 The HOTSPOT-X20 and the HOTSPOT-X22 are used in potentially dust explosive atmospheres. The detectors are type-approved by a notified body according to the ATEX directive as well as according to IECEx. Similar to the HOTSPOT-1000, the HOTSPOT-X20 has a resolution of 1000 temperature-sensitive pixels and an integrated purge air connector. The HOTSPOT-X20 does not have a conventional camera but features a mounting flange for easy front-flush installation on enclosures of all sorts. The HOTSPOT-X22 is the intermediate variant of the HOTSPOT infrared detector for use in explosive dust atmospheres of zone 22. The design of the HOTSPOT-X22 is based on the HOTSPOT-1000 and offers the same functional scope.

TPME Parametrizable Temperature-Detectors The TPME ( Temperature-reporting unit ) is a valuable addition to our GSME and HOTSPOT detectors for the fire detection in the industrial environment. They allow the easy integration of or bearings, even if they are difficult to access. System technology System- and connection-technology The Advanced Discovery System is based on a user friendly field-bus, the M-Bus. This makes it possible to provide the neccessary operating voltage as well as data-communications within one cable. The benefit of this system is easiest installation and expandability. The Advanced Discovery System contains the following accessory components. Central fire alarm panel BMZ 30 BMZ30 is the central fire alarm panel of the Advanced Discovery System. It communicates with all ADICOS detector units via M-Bus and displays and evaluates their current status. Detectors can be joined into groups and parametrized with individual alarm thresholds. On alarm BMZ30 triggers several output signals for alarm evaluation. In combination with a service PC, BMZ30 ensures continuous data logging detection events in the system. For external interface it can be operated with central fire alarm panels of renouned manufacturers like Siemens, Bosch, etc. and is extendable with an Ethernet-interface. M-BUSMASTER XF S The M-Bus is a so called Master-Slave Bussystem. In addition to the detector slaves a master unit is required - the M-BUSMASTER. This master unit des not only handle the data communication with up to 250 GSME or HOTSPOT slaves. It can even provide the required operating voltage for several detectors. Furthermore it contains a RS232-serial-interface for connecting a service-pc. We offer two variants of the M-BUSMASTER. M-BUSMASTER XF and M-BUSMASTER S are functionally similar. Special about model XF is its IP65 specification, which makes it ideal for operation in tough industrial environments. It is also extendable with an Ethernet-interface. The M-BUSMASTER S, is a compact tool for service-operation.

Power supply unit NT V40-A3 In larger installations the current output of the M-BUSMASTER is not sufficient for the energy supply of all connected detectors. In this case an additional external power supply unit is required. The short-circuit proof NT V40-A3 provides up to 3 Amperes at 40 Volts. COM-MODULES For integration of ADICOS-detectors into an existing fire detection system GTE offers various extension modules. With these communication extensions GSME and HOTSPOTs can be operated with central fire detection panels of Siemens, Bosch etc. GSME SPLASH GUARD For enhanced protection against humidity an hose water, GSME-M4 can be fitted with a splash guard. Branching and Connection Box AAB AAB-L/-XL AAB-X22 With the AAB and AAB-L connection box wiring of ADICOS-detectors becomes as easy as it gets. Because of the ergonomic layout of the internally routed connection terminals a simple and error free installation is guaranteed. The high-grade steel product variants AAB-L und AAB-XL offer extra wiring space. The product variant AAB-X22 approved for operation within ATEX-Zone 22. Connection Cable Because all ADICOS-detectors are equipped with a unitary bayonett connector, a confected standard cable can be used for installation. This screened standard cable is available in various length configurations.
