Applicaion The auomaic burner conrol uni IFS 110 IM is suiable for he igniion and conrol of gas burners in gas firing insallaions of all ypes. This conrol is designed for high cycling frequency and long life, especially for indusrial applicaions. Muliburner conrol in conjuncion wih flame relay IFW 15 T (see leafle T 12..1.1.10). Examples of applicaion Operaion wih one elecrode (Fig. 1) The igniion and conrol of he burner wih only one elecrode is possible when using igniion ransformers TZI or TGI. During he igniion, he high volage coil of he igniion ransformer is grounded via he burner conrol uni. If a flame signal is no deeced during he esing ime and afer he hermosa has called for hea, he burner is sared: Volage is applied o valve 1 and igniion ransformer (Fig. ). The esing ime increases up o 15 sec, if flame simulaion is deeced. The conrol hen goes o faul-lockou (Fig. 5). Following he burner sar, a flame signal mus be measured wihin he rial for igniion period SA : Afer his ime SA volage is applied o is applied o valve V2 which hen opens (Fig. ). If a flame does no esablish, he conrol goes o faul-lockou (Fig. ). During he burner operaion, he conrol coninously checks for a flame signal. Behaviour wih flame failure see variaions. The burner conrol uni also checks for a flame signal afer he burner has shudown. If he flame does no exinguish wihin approx. 15 sec afer he burner has been shu-down by he hermosa, he conrol will go faul-lockou (Fig. 7). The faul-lockou is conneced wih an inernal and exernal faul indicaion. As igniion lines we recommend: FZLK 1/7 order No. 0 25 009 FZLSi 1/ order No. 0 25 010 Lengh of igniion line max. 15 f (5 m). Do no place igniion line in a meal ube. In case of UV conrol we would recommend o connec in series for each burner conrol an addiional fuse The UV-deecor may see he igniion spark. On principle, only auhorized specialiss shall carry ou a (remoe) rese, by consanly checking he burner o be rese. The auomaic burner conrol uni can only work properly if he energized duraion is longer han he rial for igniion period / safey ime. As soon as he flame is esablished a small curren flows hrough i and is recified by he flame. The elecronic amplifying sage deecs only his direc curren signal which, afer amplificaion, is used o energize a relay. A flame canno be simulaed. The flame mus ouch he burner ube. High volage cable (no screened) should be used as ionisaion lead in order o avoid losses hrough insulaion: FZLSi 1/ order No. 0 25 010. The cable should be laid as far away as possible from power cords and sweep radiaion sources. Several ionisaion leads can be laid ogeher possibly in plasic pipes. Do keep away from he furnace wall for approx. 7 7 / (20 cm); his applies pariculary o long ionizaion leads up o 150 f (50 m). Flame conrol wih UV-deecor (Fig. 1) The UV-deecor (UVS or UVS ) mainly consiss of a ube which is sensiive o ligh and of elecronic componens. The ube responds o he ulra viole (UV) radiaion from a gas flame, i does no reac o sunligh and ligh from filamen lamps. Volage surges, shor-circuis or leakagepah in he flame signal line resul in an alernaing signal which will be regisered as a faul condiion wih boh ypes of conrol.
