We have been building restoration contractors and woodworkers in the Bucks County area for nearly forty years. Our focus has been on authentic stone farmhouse restoration and period additions, but we have also worked on Victorian homes, barns, and even contemporary homes. Regardless of the architectural style or age, the common thread found in all of our work is an emphasis on fine wood architectural components, cabinetry and millwork. Real wood doors with fine joinery, millwork with crisp lines and deep shapes, and cabinetry that is well thought out and executed can make the difference between an ordinary space and one that is authentic and unique. In House Parts we offer the millwork and many of the architectural elements that we have developed for our restoration and building projects. All of these items are based on historic designs; many are exact replicas of architectural parts found in historic Bucks County homes. INTERIOR DOORS Our interior doors are built with the finest materials and attention to detail. Several traditional sticking and panel profiles are available. All doors are built with pinned mortise and tenon joinery to ensure stability and long life. In addition to our listed items, we can also build doors to your specifications and material choice. The doors shown above were custom built for a restoration project in New Jersey. The passage door is a 5-panel door with beaded sticking and raised panels. The exterior glass doors are a custom size glazed with ¾ insulated glass. 3

EXTERIOR DOORS Our exterior doors are built with the finest materials and attention to detail. Our typical material choice is Honduras mahogany or Spanish cedar. Several traditional sticking and panel profiles are available. All doors are built with pinned mortise and tenon joinery. In addition to our listed items, we can also build doors to your specifications. We can also provide hand forged hardware upon request. The 6-panel door shown above was custom built for a farmhouse restoration in Tinicum Township, PA. We also built the solid timber door frame. 8

WINDOW SASH We build traditional 18 th century window sash for authentic home restoration. The sashes are built of Spanish cedar with pinned mortise and tenon joinery. The listed sizes fit 8 x10 glass panes, but we will build a sash to your required size. Specify custom sizes when ordering. Sashes are unglazed. We can glaze sash in our shop using standard or restoration glass at an extra charge. 12

SHUTTERS Our shutters are constructed with decay resistant Spanish cedar and western red cedar. Just like our doors, our shutters are constructed with mortise and tenon joinery to ensure stability and long life. Shutters are available with a variety of sticking and panel profiles. Overall dimensions and panel sizes must be specified with each order to assure that your shutters will fit the opening and light configuration of your windows. We can also provide authentic hand forged hardware upon request. 14

EXTERIOR MILLWORK Quality exterior millwork will add not only beauty but also longevity to the exterior finishing of your home. We provide siding and moldings with traditional profiles milled from decay resistant wood species. At your request, we can also prime exterior trim front and back prior to delivery. The image above shows our standard 5 ¼ crown molding on the dormers, our 7 crown, beaded facia, soffit, and large bed molding on the main cornice. The sides of the dormers are finished with 1x6 beveled cedar siding. The dormer gables are finished with beaded tongue and groove siding. New millwork is executed flawlessly. The distinction between existing millwork and that which has recently been added is indiscernible. Pristine is the adjective most used by the craft people who visit our home. INTERIOR MILLWORK High quality interior millwork with crisp, traditional profiles can help create unique and visually pleasing interior spaces. We have included a selection of basic millwork to enhance any new construction or restoration project. Pictured above is a fireplace in an addition to a stone farmhouse in Solebury Township, PA. The beaded baseboard, chair rail and window casings, along with the molded window jambs and mantle shelf were all milled in our shop. Notice also the narrow cupboard on the left side of the fireplace. The Fredendall Building Co is exceptional. Their work is sheer craftsmanship. PANELING Wood raised paneling and beaded paneling for home interiors. The paneling above was installed in a stone farmhouse in Solebury, PA. It was designed to replicate the original paneling that was removed during a prior renovation. Appreciation of proportion, an artistic sense, and a thorough knowledge of the methods and details characteristic to the early architecture of our area is evident in every component fabricated by the Fredendall Building Company. Custom Paneling The paneling shown above was built and installed in a house in Solebury Township, Pennsylvania. Notice the cornice trim with shaped modillions, the deep paneled window jambs, and the window seat. 28

CABINETRY Our cabinetry offerings are a selection of pieces we have installed in several of our building and restoration projects. Like all of our products, our cabinets are built with select softwoods and hardwoods using traditional joinery techniques. KITCHEN CABINETRY We work with each client to design and build the kitchen which will suit their individual needs and fit the unique space within their home. Our cabinets aren t pieced together using standard unit sizes, but are custom sized and built for each project. The kitchen shown above was designed by architect Steven Ware. It is designed and built to appear like individual furniture pieces joined together. In kitchens with more conventional design we build cabinets with continuous face-frames to create a seamless appearance along the cabinet front. Regardless of the cabinet style, all of our cabinets are solidly built to remain attractive through years of use. Our cabinet boxes are built with pre-finished maple plywood; face-frames are made from select soft and hardwoods. Drawers are solid maple with dovetail joinery installed with full extension, under-mount drawer slides. Our paneled doors are mortise and tenon and are available in a variety of sticking styles. 34

We needed a new kitchen that could still blend in with our somewhat quirky, 250- year-old house. Fredendall first surveyed the architectural and design elements throughout the house and then designed, produced, and installed a beautiful set of cherry cabinets that draws compliments from everyone. FURNITURE It is sometimes difficult to find just the right piece of A. Windsor Chair WC1 furniture to fit in Yellow a unique poplar space, seat, or that white meets oak turnings all the requirements and curved back of the discerning homeowner. 16 1/8 We x 34 design 5/8 x and 14 ½ build custom wood furniture that works within fine interiors and historic spaces. Shown above is one of eight tablet-back Windsor chairs that I built for my own home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. 36

Media Cabinet This low profile cabinet was built to house a flat panel television monitor and video equipment. It is built of quarter sawn red oak and fitted with antique brass hardware. Tri-fold doors above conceal a flat screen television monitor; hinged doors below provide storage for video equipment. The drawers are dovetailed. (46 1/8 x 34 5/8 x 14 ½ ) 37
