2 promotional committees, flat allotment committee; Research Fellow Advisory Committee and Monday colloquium organizer of Stat-Math Unit, ISI Kolkata. Was a visiting faculty at Steklov Institute of Mathematics, USSR in the year 1982, and at Univ. of New Brunswick along with University of Toronto, Canada in the year 1992. Corresponding editor of IMS Bulletin (1993-97). To disseminate the application of Statistics, I conducted and participated in the followings schools as the chief organizer: 1. Winter school on Statistical methods in Social sciences (October 20-November 8, 1997). 2. Winter school on Statistical methods in Medicine, Public health & Environment (October 26-November 18, 1998). 3. University Grants Commission refresher course in Statistics (February 3-24, 2003). During my tenure as Coordinator of ISI Giridih, I organised and participated in a 4. Two-day Workshop on Frontiers of Agro-Socio-Economic & Ecological research-possibilities with emphasis on eastern plateau of Giridih region during 12-13 September 2008, at ISI Giridih. As a co-pi of externally funded NAIP (National Agricultural Innovation Project), I organised and participated in 5. 'Launch workshop' in Kolkata (March 16, 2009) and Giridih (March 21-22, 2009) of the NAIP project "Designing, Mechanism of action and Biosafety of nanopesticide". Professor J.K.Ghosh, former Director of ISI and Jawaharlal Nehru Professor graced the occasion at ISI Giridih. I organised and participated in a three-day North-East India workshop on 6. "Statistical Methods in Medical & Health Sciences" that was held during February 19-21, 2009 in the Dept. of Statistics, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong in collaboration with Statistics-Mathematics Unit, Kolkata, ISI. I conducted and participated in a 7. Seminar Series on Growth Model during 27-28 March 2011 at ISI Giridih.
3 In the year 2012, I organised and participated in a 8. National Conference on Growth Curve Model that was held at ISI Giridih; during 28-30 March 2012. The conference was sponsored from the fund provided to my research project Growth curve estimation in restricted set-up being conducted at ISI Giridih Farmland. Publication of Conference Proceedings was undertaken by Springer (USA). The book is entitled Advances in Growth Curve Models: Topics from the Indian Statistical Institute (2013). In the year 2013, I organized a 9. Two-day workshop on Growth Curve Model at ISI Giridih, during 21-22 March 2013. In the year 2014, I organized a 10. Two-day workshop on Growth Curve Model at ISI Giridih, during 18-19 February 2014. Professor J.K.Ghosh delivered the keynote address. Springer (USA) did undertake publishing the Proc. of the workshop under the title Growth Curve and Structural Equation Modeling: Topics from the Indian Statistical Institute. (2015). In the years 2015 and 2016, similar workshops were organized. In 2017 another workshop is organized in February. Organised PCM 125 birthday celebration conference on Growth Curve Model at ISI Giridih during 23-24 October 2017. Delivered about 20 lectures on Growth Curve Model based on theory cum applied project works undertaken at ISI Giridih till now in Stat-Math Unit, Kolkata. I participated in a teaching program, Course on Research Methods for Government officials under Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementations in the year 2013. I had to take classes in the specialization 'Actuarial Statistics', Nonparametric Inference, Large sample theory, biomedical statistics, longitudinal data analysis etc. for several years, before taking the responsibility of Coordinator, ISI Giridih. A number of Ph.D students sought my advice. I am one of the most senior Professors in my Unit and my publication list includes papers published in Annals of Probability, Theory of Probability and its applications (The Russian Journal that published my work on Cauchy equation in discrete domain), Foundation of Physics (publishing my paper on Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen like phenomena), Journal of Multivariate Analysis (published my work on bootstrap accuracy
