Can You Find the Ways to Safety? Preschool Grade 2 Every room needs two ways out. Find two ways out of each room. Write the numeral 1 on the first way out of the room and the numeral 2 on the second way out of the room. Parent Fire Safety Message: Take a look around your home. Make sure you have two ways out of every room. One way out would be the door and the second way out could be a window. Your home fire escape plan should have two ways out of every room. Practice your home fire drill today.

Can You Name that Dog? Help each dog find its name. Draw a line from each dog to its name. SPARKY SPANKY PIP TERRY O REILLY Sparky (black spots, teacher, birthday dog) Spanky (puppy, gathered ingredients for the cake, chased a ball) Pip (pretty, grown-up, in charge of the oven) Terry (set the timer, striped shirt, fluffy ears) O Reilly (stirred batter with tail, used nose to be sure the window opened easily, striped shirt)

Where Should the Dogs Go? An outside meeting place is an important part of a home fire escape plan. Match each dog to it s the meeting place. Draw a line from each dog to the meeting place that has the same beginning letter as the dog s name. Some dogs will go to the same meeting place. Parent Fire Safety Message: A home fire escape plan includes two ways out of every room and an outside meeting place. A good outside meeting place is something that is permanent like a tree, neighbor s home or street light. Practice your home fire escape plan tonight.

Everything in Order All stories have a beginning, middle, and an end. The pictures and sentences below tell a story. Put them in order. Write beginning, middle, or end next to each picture and sentence. Woof! Woof! Arff! Arff! the dogs exclaimed when they spied the beautiful cake. Don t forget to turn off the oven, Pip! said Terry. They set up the cake on a table near the tree. Sparky hopped into the fire truck and headed to the school. Can I please do the mixing? O Reilly begged. Stirring with his tail, he made a doggy-licious dough ball. Spanky put it in the boneshaped pan. Terry set the timer. Parent Fire Safety Message: It is important for every home to have a home fire escape plan with two ways out of every room and an outside meeting place. Practice your fire escape drill today.

Spelling Challenge Look at each picture. What letter does it begin with? Bonus: Write the rest of the letters to make a word. Parent Fire Safety Message: Make sure your home has a working smoke alarm on every level, inside each bedroom and outside each sleeping area. Test your smoke alarms today.

Sparky s Match Game Cut up the cards. Place cards so blank side is showing. Turn over two cards to find a match. If the cards match, the player keeps the cards.. If the cards don t match, turn them back over. The game is over when all the cards have been matched. The player with the most pairs of cards wins.

Sparky s Safety Rules Look at each picture. Draw a line from the picture to the correct safety rule. If the smoke alarm sounds, get outside and stay outside. Plan two ways out of every room. Stay away from hot things. Have an outside meeting place.
