Shredders Republic Machine - History Republic Welding was established in 1911 George Sotsky purchased Republic Welding in 1970 after retiring from the Marine Corps. Republic Diesel, Republic Industries, Republic Pneumatics, Republic Machine, were all created out of the Republic Welding group. Republic Industries begins making shredders in 1997, built 250 Shredders for ReTech 1997-01 primarily in the wood industry.
