NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION. WITHHOLDING PERIODS: HARVEST: BRASSICA VEGETABLES, LEAFY VEGETABLES (INCLUDING BRASSICA LEAFY VEGETABLES), LEGUME VEGETABLES, ROOT AND TUBER VEGETABLES (EXCEPT POTATOES): DO NOT HARVEST FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. POTATOES: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION IF USING ALONE, or MIXING WITH POLYRAM DF or MANCOZEB. DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION IF MIXING WITH MANCOZEB. ONIONS: TOMATOES: NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED. DO NOT HARVEST FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION IF MIXING WITH MANCOZEB DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION IF MIXING WITH POLYRAM. CAPSICUM, EGGPLANT, & PEPPERS: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. GRAPEVINES: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 4 WEEKS AFTER APPLICATION. GRAZING LEGUME VEGETABLES: GRAPEVINES: TURF: DO NOT GRAZE FOR STOCK FOOD FOR 7 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION DO NOT TREAT VINEYARDS THAT WILL OR MAY BE GRAZED BY LIVESTOCK. DO NOT GRAZE TREATED AREAS OR FEED TURF CLIPPINGS FROM TREATED AREAS TO ANIMALS INCLUDING POULTRY. LIVESTOCK DESTINED FOR EXPORT MARKETS The grazing withholding period only applies to stock slaughtered for the domestic market. Some export markets apply different standards. To meet these standards, ensure that in addition to complying with the grazing withholding period, the Export Slaughter Interval is observed before stock are sold or slaughtered. EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI) - 14 DAYS LIVESTOCK THAT HAVE BEEN GRAZED ON, OR FED TREATED FORAGE, FODDER OR STUBBLE SHOULD BE PLACED ON CLEAN FEED FOR 14 DAYS PRIOR TO EXPORT SLAUGHTER EXPORT OF TREATED PRODUCE Growers should note that suitable Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) or import tolerances may not exist in all export markets for crops treated with Filan Fungicide. Additionally, some export markets have established MRLs different to those in Australia. If you are growing fruit for export (including fresh, dried or as wine) please check with your industry spray diary, peak industry body (such as the Australian Wine Research Institute www.awri.com.au) or BASF Australia Ltd for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances before using Filan Fungicide. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING GROUP 7 FUNIGICIDE FILAN Fungicide is a member of the oxathiin group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management, FILAN Fungicide is a Group 7 fungicide. Some naturally-occurring individual fungi resistant to FILAN Fungicide and other Group 7 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can Page 8 of 11

eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by FILAN Fungicide or other Group 7 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, BASF Australia Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of FILAN Fungicide to control resistant fungi. MIXING Partly fill the spray tank with water and add the required amount of product while stirring. If required, add compatible products and agitate thoroughly. Continue agitation as filling of the tank is completed. Agitate again before spraying commences. If tank mixing with other water dispersible granule (WG) or wettable powder (WP) formulations, ensure they are mixed in well before adding emulsifiable concentrate (EC) or suspension concentrate (SC) products. WP formulations should be pre-mixed separately prior to adding to the spray tank. APPLICATION Dilute Spraying Use a sprayer designed to apply high spray volumes, up to the point of run-off and matched to the crop being sprayed. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient spray solution to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off. The required spray volume to achieve point of run off may be determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the sprayer, or from industry guidelines or other expert advice. Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use Table for each 100 L of water. Spray to the point of runoff. The required dilute spray volume to achieve point of run off will change and the sprayer set up and operation may also need to be changed, as the crop grows. Concentrate Spraying Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies spray volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen spray volume. Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (See Dilute Spraying above) for the crop canopy. This is needed to calculate the concentrate mixing rate. The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can then be calculated in the following way: EXAMPLE ONLY 1. Dilute spray volume as determined above: For example 1500 L/ha 2. Your chosen concentrate spray volume: For example 500 L/ha 3. The concentration factor in this example is: 3 X (i.e. 1500 L 500 L = 3) 4. If the dilute label rate is 20 ml/100 L, then the concentrate rate becomes 3 x 20 (that is 60 ml of product per 100 L water for concentrate spraying). The chosen spray volume, amount of product per 100 L of water, and the sprayer set up and operation may need to be changed as the crop grows. For further information on concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake appropriate competency training and follow industry Best Practices. COMPATIBILITY Filan is compatible with POLYRAM DF or MANCOZEB. FILAN is compatible with a wide range of agricultural chemicals. A jar test with local water should be conducted before using any new tank mixtures with FILAN. For further information on compatibility please contact your local reseller or BASF representative. Page 9 of 11

RE-ENTRY PERIOD Brassica vegetables: DO NOT enter treated areas for 4 days to conduct high exposure activities (such as hand harvesting, irrigation, pruning, topping and tying of mature plants), 2 days for medium exposure activities (such as scouting mature plants) and until the spray has dried for low exposure activities (such as irrigation, scouting, thinning and weeding of immature plants) unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day s use. Other situations: DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and the wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day s use. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT Toxic to Aquatic organisms. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Keep out of reach of children. Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and deliver the empty packaging for appropriate disposal in an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations. Do NOT burn empty containers or product. SAFETY DIRECTIONS Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. When opening the container and preparing spray and using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing), a washable hat and, elbow-length PVC gloves. After each day's use, wash gloves and contaminated clothing. Wash hands after use. FIRST AID If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131126.
