CAUTION Low risk! These are issues that should be observed when handling the appliance. Safety instructions Hazard: Grid voltage! Deficient electrical installation or excessive grid voltage may result in an electrical shock. The device is designed exclusively for 230 V~/50 Hz alternating voltage. Do not operate the device if it exhibits visible damages or the mains cord resp. mains plug is defective. Do not open the casing, rather allow qualified personnel to perform repairs. For this, consult a qualified workshop. Liability claims and claims to warranty are excluded in the event of repairs performed individually, improper connection or incorrect operation. Only parts corresponding to the original device specifications may be used for repairs. Electrical and mechanical components are contained in this device, which are essential for protection against potential causes of risk. Never reach into the inside of the device during operation. Do not submerge the device or the mains cord or plug in water. Never come into contact with the mains plug with wet hands. 6
Never attempt to grasp an electric appliance if it has fallen in water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the mains plug. Keep the device, the mains plug and the mains cord away from open flames and hot surfaces. If you are not using the device, are cleaning it or in the event of a fault, deactivate it and always remove the plug from the socket. Check the device and cord regularly for damages. Never use the mains cord as a transport strap. Render the device, which has outlived its purposes, unusable. Hazard for children! Children often do not recognise risks or underestimate them. Never allow children to play with the packaging foil. They may catch themselves in it and suffocate. Ensure that children do not have access to the device when they are unsupervised. Children may only use the device when unsupervised if they have received appropriate instruction enabling them to use the device in a safe manner and to understand the dangers associated with incorrect operation! Despite the filter, a limited amount of dirt particles may still be present in the outgoing air of the vacuum cleaner. Such particles may trigger allergic reactions if inhaled by small children. As such, do not use the vacuum cleaner in the direct vicinity of children. Explosion hazard! The formation of sparks may trigger an explosion. Never vacuum up flammable liquids such as e.g. gasoline with this device. ATTENTION Risk due to incorrect operation! Improper handling of the device may result in damages. The device may only be used by persons, who are aware of the dangers and unique qualities of the device. Never cover the appliance, never sit or stand on it. Only use the device if the filter has been inserted. Otherwise dust or liquids, which have been vacuumed up, will penetrate the device itself. The filter may not exhibit any damages. The air intake on the nozzles may become blocked. In such a case, immediately turn off the device and remove the blockage before you continue vacuuming. Never subject the device to high temperatures (heater etc.) or the influences of weather (rain, etc.). Explanation of symbols Dual insulation Only use in enclosed quarters Polarity: external (-)/internal (+) Transformer for safety extra-low voltage Thermal fuse triggered at 115 C Charging the rechargeable battery See Fig. 5 6. Prior to the first use, fully charge the rechargeable battery. If necessary, depress the buttons 7 on both sides of the rechargeable battery 6 and remove the rechargeable battery from the device. Mount the rechargeable battery on the charging station 15 and connect the mains plug with a socket. During the charging operation, the charge control light on the charging station 15 will illuminate. If the green light is illuminated, then the rechargeable battery has been fully charged. If the rechargeable battery is very hot after use, allow it to cool off for approx. 30 min and then set it on the charging station. Operation See Fig. 2 and 7. Mount one of the suction nozzles included in the product contents as needed (see Fig. 2). Turn the device on resp. off using the On/Off switch 4. Recharge the rechargeable battery as needed. Emptying the dust bin ATTENTION Risk due to incorrect operation! Improper handling of the device may result in damages. Only use the device if a filter in acceptable condition has been inserted. Otherwise the dust or liquids, which have been vacuumed up, will penetrate the device itself. See Fig. 3 4. Empty the dust bin 2 once it has been filled up to the max. mark. While depressing the release button 3, remove the dust bin 2. Remove the liquid separator 13 from the dust bin 2, empty the dust bin 2. Remove the permanent filter 14 from the liquid separator 13. Wash out the filter with clean water every time after having vacuumed up liquids. Do not use any cleaners. Only insert a completely dry filter. Care and maintenance Danger of short circuit! Ensure that no water penetrates the motor casing. Never submerge the device in water. Wipe the casing off with a damp cloth and then dry it thoroughly. No liquids may penetrate the motor casing 5. Disposal of Old Appliances (Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with systems for separate collection of reclaimed materials) Old appliances must not be put in with domestic waste! If the equipment can no longer be used each consumer is legally liable to dispose of waste equipment as long as it is separated from the household waste, e.g. taken to a collecting point in his community/district. This ensures that all waste equipment is professionally recycled and negative environmental consequences are avoided. Such electrical appliances are therefore marked with the above symbol. Prior to disposal, separate the rechargeable battery from the device. In order to do so, depress the buttons on both sides of the rechargeable battery 6 and remove the rechargeable battery from the device. Batteries and accumulators do not belong in domestic waste! Consumers are obliged to hand in waste batteries and accumulators to the nearest civic amenity or recycling centre. The batteries and accumulators can then be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. Batteries and accumulators that contain hazardous materials are labelled with this sign and with chemical symbols.
