ABOUT DILS & MANDER We see concrete as a noble material that ages gracefully through time. Friends and engineers Jeroen Dils and Jonas Vermander are the duo behind Dils & Mander. As civil engineering students at Ghent University they became passionate about concrete. Both their work and trajectory are atypical for young designers. After his graduation in 2010, Jeroen started his PhD and became a founding father of extra strong designer concrete. This knowledge allows the young designers to create slimmer & more sustainable concrete in all forms. All their designs are manufactured in Belgium with Ghent as the operating base. In a world where mass production has become the standard way of producing, handmade products are more than welcome. The small imperfections in Dils & Mander s creations are the signature of their design. It are these little imperfections that make the difference between craftsmanship and mechanical production. 2 3

FURNITURE VOID Void is the first design introduced by Dils & Mander. The concrete tabletop, with a uniform thickness of only 15mm, appears to be floating just above the four legs. Although concrete is generally considered to have a very rough and massive appearance, this tabletop is slim and the concrete has a smooth, hand polished finish. Void is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The table legs are powder-coated with a soft matte color to create an attractive match with the top. Because of the simplicity of its design, this table is versatile and matches with any surrounding. In addition, the table top is insensitive to UV light, frost-resistant and maintenance free. 6
FURNITURE QUARTZ The Quartz family contains U- and S- shaped tables made of 100% concrete. The product line consists of versatile and functional pieces of furniture that suit each style of interior. Next to the couch, as a coffee table, in the garden or as a nightstand in the bedroom. Quartz fits everywhere. 8 9
FURNITURE CARRARA+ For the Carrara+ series, two colors of concrete were combined. Our selected molding process establishes a unique flow pattern between the two colors in every individual table. The rough side we describe as the skin and has a very organic feel to it. Each piece maintains its appearance and remains timeless inside and outside thanks to the use of high quality and natural pigments. 10
ACCESSORIES CONCRETE BOWLS Dils & Mander s collection of concrete bowls stands out because of its simplicity, robustness and elegance. Using these concrete bowls as a piece of decoration or as a fruit bowl will strengthen their design. It is impossible for the designers to predict with 100% certainty what the bowls will look like, since color shades and air bubbles make every piece unique and emphasize their craftsmanship. 12
ACCESSORIES CONCRETE CAT BED In collaboration with Geerke Sticker, Dils & Mander created a cat bed out of concrete for those who would like to pamper their pet. To create a cozy and rugged place for pets both inside and outside was the starting point of the design. The cat bed consists of two symmetrical halves and is supported by three wooden legs. On the inside you find a soft fabric which can be cleaned in the washing machine. 14 15
ACCESSORIES TISSUE BOX Wood and concrete fit perfectly together. Margot Vervust used this property well in this tissue box designed for Dils & Mander. The wood has been lasercut, the concrete made from a raw concrete mix. The natural materials are nicely accentuated. The woodgraining continues in the concrete part that is characterized by air bubbles and subtle color shades. This tissue box can be used open or closed and brings a beautiful decorative design in your interior. 16 17
ACCESSORIES CONCRETE ASHTRAYS Dils & Mander s concrete ashtrays combine a classic design with a timeless material. They are available in two different designs. 18 19
ACCESSORIES BASE Base provides a stylish place for your tablet or smartphone. Both the area that comes in contact with your tablet and the underside of the base are provided with a softer material to avoid scratching. Base has been designed for the ipad family of tablets, but can also be used for other tablets. 20 21
JUWELRY JUWELRY Jewelry made of concrete? It is possible! Steffi and Jeroen Dils, sister and brother, joined forces for Dils & Mander s first jewelry line. The concrete material shouts brutalism and this is emphasized to a silver finish. A minimalistic design of ordinary shapes highlights our first jewelry collection. 22
