General safety When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old. Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the voltage in your home. Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician or a service repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team. The appliance is intended for domestic use only. Industrial or commercial use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use. Incorrect operation and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user. Do not use the appliance if 2

it has been dropped or damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for examination and or repair by an authorised service agent. Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in water or any other liquid for any reason. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by someone who is suitably qualified to avoid a potential hazard. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven. Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to or greater than the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot gas, electric burners or in a heated oven. Use of an extension cord 3

If it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to or greater than the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the appliance and extension cord. Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot surface. Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket. Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands. Specific Safety Advice Disconnect the switch ring and switch dent when inserting or removing the vegetable. Do not insert utensils and other foreign items into the food chute. Do not attempt to touch anything through the large food chute. Handle the blades with care, particularly when removing the blades and during cleaning. Do not attempt to process prohibited items. Use the food pusher at all times. Keep the main unit away from water. Do not allow children to 4

operate this appliance. It recommended that the appliance is only run for a maximum of 2 minutes. Allow the appliance to rest for 5 minutes before reusing. Appliance Components Diagram 5

Assembly 1. Slide the collection cup into the container. 2. Place the slicer blade onto the plate frame. 3. Place the plate frame with the slicer blade onto the step of the container. Make sure that the lever on the plate frame is turned the correct way up. 4. Place the cover onto the container ensuring the groove of the cover is on the lever on the plate frame. 5. Connect the main unit to the cover. Align the dents of main unit on the convex of the cover. 6. Insert the large food pusher into the large food chute. Make sure that the ribs are based on the top. 7. Put the medium food pusher into the large food pusher. 8. Put the small food pusher into the medium food pusher. 9. Using the appliance 1. Insert the vegetable into the large food chute. 2. Push the vegetable into the food chute with the food pusher and press the switch ring onto the switch dent of the main unit. The unit will be activated by pressing the switch ring onto the switch dent. 3. Stop pressing when the vegetable size is 2-3cm and the vegetable cannot be cut or grated any further. Do not press the food pusher with force as this may result in product failure. 4. Pull out the collection cup and remove the sliced or grated vegetable. 5. Disconnect the plug. 7

Choosing the food chute There are three food chutes to choose from (small, medium and large). Choose the most appropriate that fits the vegetable. For thick vegetables Insert the vegetable into the food chute. Press with three food pushers (small, medium and large). Cut the vegetable into an appropriate size to be inserted into the large food chute. To slice the vegetable evenly, trim the bottom of the vegetable so it is flat. Also, put the thicker end of the vegetable in first. Do not insert prohibited vegetables. (See page 10) For medium vegetables Place the large food pusher into the large food chute. Insert the vegetable into the large food pusher and press with both small and medium food pushers. For fine vegetables Insert the medium food pusher into the large food pusher. Place the large and medium food pusher onto the large food chute. Insert the vegetable into the medium food pusher. Press with the small food pusher. 8

Using each blade and insert Slicing Vegetables CAUTION: Switch off the appliance and ensure all parts have stopped before changing accessories. 1. Prepare the slicer blade. To make a thick slice, use the slicer blade only. To make a thin slice, insert the slicer blade insert into the slicer blade. 2. Place the slicer blade onto the plate frame. 3. Place the plate frame onto the container. Put the cover and the main unit on the container. 4. Insert the vegetables into the food chute. 5. Press the vegetables into the food chute with a food pusher. 6. Press the switch ring onto the switch dent to start slicing. 1. 2. 3. 5. 4. CAUTION: Do not stack the slicer blade and grater. Vegetable preparation Before inserting, cut the vegetables to the size so that they can be inserted into the food chute. Cut preparation To have the required shape of vegetable, you can cut the vegetable prior to placing in the food chute. Prohibited Slicer blade can be used for vegetables only. Do not use for other foods. Spring onions, leeks and soft vegetables are not recommended for slicing. 10

Using each blade and insert Julienne CAUTION: Switch off the appliance and ensure all parts have stopped before changing accessories. 1. Prepare the slicer blade. To make fine julienne strips insert the thin julienne blade onto the slicer blade. To make thick julienne strip insert the thick julienne blade onto the slicer blade. 2. Place the slicer blade on the plate frame. 3. Place the plate frame on the container. Put the cover and main unit on the container. 4. Press the vegetables into the food chute with a food pusher. 5. Vegetable preparation Before inserting, cut the vegetables to the size which can be inserted into the food chute. Direction of vegetables Ensure the vegetable fibre is parallel to the cutter motion direction. Prohibited Julienne inserts can be used for vegetables only. Do not use for other foods. Soft and hollow vegetables such as peppers, tomatoes, leeks and lemons are not recommended for use on the julienne function. 12

Using each blade and insert Grater CAUTION: Switch off the appliance and ensure all parts have stopped before changing accessories. 1. Place the grater on the plate frame. 2. Place the plate frame on the container. Put the cover and main unit on the container. 3. Insert the cheese into the food chute, ensuring it does not exceed the Maximum capacity for cheese indication. Gently, press the cheese into the food chute with a food pusher. 4. Press the switch ring onto the switch dent to start grating. 1. 2. 4. 3. Preparation Before inserting the cheese into the grater, cut it to a size which can be inserted into the food chute. Cut the cheese lengthways and insert it into the chute vertically. Hard cheese like parmesan grates well in this grater. Soft cheese will not grate well. CAUTION: Do not stack the slicer blade and grater. This may cause product failure or injury to the user. 13

Using each blade and insert French Fry Blade CAUTION: Switch off the appliance and ensure all parts have stopped before changing accessories. 1. Place the French fry blade on the plate frame. 2. Place the plate frame onto the container. Put the cover and the main unit on the container. 3. Insert a potato into the food chute. It is recommended that you cut the end of the potato so it sits firmly in the food chute. 4. Push the potato in the food chute with the food pusher. Press the switch ring onto the switch dent to start slicing. 1. 2. 4. 3. CAUTION: Do not stack the slicer blade and grater. This may cause product failure or injury to the user. 14

Using each blade and insert Ice Shaver CAUTION: Switch off the appliance and ensure all parts have stopped before changing accessories. This ice shaver is only designed to shave ice. Do not use for any other foods. 1. Place the ice shaver on the plate frame. 2. Place the plate frame onto the step of the container. 3. Place home made ice cubes into the large food chute. 4. Place the large food pusher onto the ice in the food chute. Press the switch ring onto the switch dent to start shaving the ice. 5. Remove the shaved ice from the collection cup. Cleaning and care instructions Main Unit Use a damp cloth with mild, liquid detergent to clean the main unit. Do not immerse the main unit in water. Blades and inserts Prior to use, brush the blades with cooking oil to prevent the blades from staining. Wash blades under warm, running water. Handle the blades with care. The blades might stain if they are not washed straight away after use. Food Pusher Wash the food pusher in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Cover and containers Wash the cover and container with warm water and a mild, liquid detergent. Storage Slide the collection cup into the container. Place the blades and inserts into the collection cup. Place the grater onto the plate frame and put it in the large container. Put the cover, main unit and food pushers on the container. 16

Your receipt or order number is required as proof of purchase date so it is imperative that you keep it safe. This guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all instructions have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is only for domestic use only and is not for commercial use. Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not affect your statutory rights. Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condition as possible. If your product develops a problem within the first 12 months of the fixed warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us.
