1. Application This manual adds exclusive specifications as molten steel temperature recorder to the specifications of hybrid recorder KH series. It contains the additional specifications and operation methods. The specifications other than those of the molten steel temperature recorder are common to those of the standard product. Please read the instruction manual for standard product accordingly when operating this recorder. For safe use, please read Important information and Cautions on safety without fail, in particular The terms in this manual are also common to those of the instruction manual for standard product. If you have the option communication interface, please read the separate [Instruction manual for communication interface], too. 2. Model number K H 1 E 0 0 - N E 1 Communication interface (option) N : None A : RS-422A R : RS-232C S : RS-485 Molten steel temperature recording specifications E : External drive (option) 1: Not provided 2: Provided 1
3. Additional specifications 3-1 Recording and printing functions [1] Date printing Date (year, month, day) and time are printed on the recording paper when turning on the power supply. 22 ****POWER ON 95/07/08 08 : 48 **** [2] Immersion recording function The instrument starts recording when a measuring temperature input exceeds the preset recording start temperature and stops recording when the recording time has passed its preset time. It deflects the pen to the lower limit and prints the maximum measuring temperature. 5 PEAK TEMP = 1605 CHART SPEED = 400mm/M **** EMERSION END 95/07/08 09 : 14 **** 4 3 [It takes about 4 minutes to print data after recording ends. The following measurement cannot be done during printing. If printing is not necessary, turn off 6 of dip switch SW1 mounted below the front operation keys. (This switch is set to ON at the delivery time) 2
[3] Alarm printing Max. 2 higher-limit alarm points can be set to a temperature input during immersion recording, and alarm decision results are additionally printed when printing the maximum temperature. Data of the maximum temperature are held up to the next measurement. Occurrence of the 1st alarm Occurrence of the 2 nd alarm 19 PEAK TEMP = 1753 AL1 AL2 CHART SPEED = 400mm/M **** EMERSION END 95/07/08 09 : 14 **** [4] List printing Set values relative to the molten steel temperature recording are printed when operating the front keys. 23 M1 START TEMP = 1100 M2 RECORD TIME = 5SEC CHART SPEED = 400. 200. 100mm/M **** EMERSION LIST 95/07/08 09 : 14 **** 3
3-2 Display function [1] Maximum temperature display The maximum temperature during immersion recording can be displayed by the front key operation. Turning on the power supply Initial display (about 3sec) Present value display Maximum temperature display (0 after power supply has been turned on) Time display Data display mode CH DATA A residual recording time is displayed at CH part during immersion recording. [2] Disconnection display If an input disconnection failure is detected, the present value is displayed as shown below to inform of the input disconnection failure. CH DATA [3] Status display The front green LED (PW) lights during immersion recording. 4
3-3 Output function The alarm output function being provided as an option in the standard product is added as a standard specification in the molten steel temperature recorder to output the operating conditions of the molten steel temperature recorder. [1] No. of output points and function No. of output points: 6 points H-C-L S p e c i f i c a t i o n s: No-voltage contact (relay) Contact capacity; 100V AC, 0.5A (resistive load) 30V DC, 1A (resistive load) Operation time; Approx. 2msec Recovery time Approx. 1msec (excluding contact bound time) Minimum application load; 10µA, 10mV DC Caution: A relay output is designed to apply to status monitoring, etc. Don t apply it to any control of important facilities or control of facilities being attended with danger. F u n c t i o n : Contact 1 H-C is shorted when the 1 st alarm occurs and H-C is open when it does not occur. Contact 2 H-C is shorted when the 2 nd alarm occurs and H-C is open when it does not occur. Contact 3 H-C is shorted when the 1 st alarm occurs during immersion recording and H-C is open when it does not occur during immersion recording. Contact 4 H-C is shorted when the 2 nd alarm occurs during immersion recording and H-C is open when it does not occur during immersion recording. Contact 5 H-C is shorted when the input is disconnected and H-C is open when the input is normal. Contact 6 H-C is shorted during immersion recording and H-C is open when immersion recording is not done. Contacts 1 and 2 are operated by alarm decision results to the present temperature input. In case of contacts 3 and 4, the alarm occurrence conditions during immersion recording are held up to the next recording. 5
[2] Relation between output conditions and operation The relation between contact 1 ~ 4 & 6 relay conditions and the operation is as shown below. 2 nd alarm level 1 st alarm level Input Contact 1 Recording start temperature Contact 2 Contact 3 Contact 4 Contact 6 3-4 Setting function [1] Setting flow chart Set values necessary for recording the molten steel temperature can be set by front keys according to the following procedure.
