Installation recommendations Check that there is a GSE PAC SYSTEM access panel, or install one if necessary for future interventions such as filter replacement and heat pump maintenance. 1 It is essential that you connect the condensate discharge solution for the two HP and ATU control units to the outside in the intended location between a GSE AIR COLLECTOR plate and a panel at the base of the preferred photovoltaic array.! Check that the hoses are not clogged or bent to avoid damaging the control unit condensate pumps. 2 Be sure to transport and handle the HP control unit in the flattest way possible to ensure maximum avoidance of refrigerant fluid migration or damage to the pressurised gas circuit integrated within the control unit. 3 The two control units must be suspended to avoid any vibration-related noise. 4 Install the control units flat! Use a spirit level to ensure that any incline does not exceed 3. 5 The pressure valve must be placed on the left hydraulic connection (hydraulic connection A) of the highest control unit if the control units are not positioned at the same height.! Do not forget to position the supplied gasket between the pressure valve and the hydraulic connection. 4

Installation recommendations 6 When the hydraulic circuit is immersed in water, ensure that the black arrow reaches 2.5 bars of pressure on the pressure valve pressure gauge. 7 The grey drain valve must be opened on the pressure valve during water loading. 8 Leave the grey drain valve open during all tests (water flow and hot / cold test). Once all tests are complete, be sure to close the drain valve again to stop the circuit water from evaporating. 9 If you cannot reach the 400 l/h required during the water flow test (information visible on the remote screen) despite the grey drain valve being open, we recommend that you open the red safety valve to discharge the air and water, then load more water up to a pressure of 2.5 bars with the pump. 10 If the delta fire coupling option was not selected, be sure to connect the orange key on the side of each control unit to the fire port location. 5

Installation recommendations The GSE PAC SYSTEM is only compatible with the GSE INTEGRATION IN-ROOF SYSTEM plates. It is best to position the GSE AIR COLLECTOR plates when installing the panels. Ensure that the ducts meet the recommended maximum lengths: Vent 2 Vent 3 Between each panel and the delta collector coupling(s): Max. 5 metres HP control unit side: Between the CMV or the created return vents and the HP control unit: Max. 5 metres Vent 1 7m 7m 7m 7m Vent 4 ATU control unit side: Between the ATU control unit and the air vents: Max. 10 metres Between the return vents and the ATU control unit: Max. 10 metres Ensure that the ducts between the GSE AIR SYSTEM box and each of the air vents inside the house are kept at the same length. (See diagram >>>) THE DUCTS MUST ALL BE THE SAME LENGTH. DO NOT CUT THEM! 11 The under-panel temperature sensor must, under no circumstances, be in contact with the photovoltaic panel (glass and frame). It must imperatively be situated in the air flow.! An installation error will distort all data and jeopardise the system's correct operation. CUT PLANE OK 6

Vent location recommendations For concrete floors, it is best to install vents with a diameter of 125 mm. Install at least one return vent. Install the return vent(s) within a moderate temperature area which forms part of the heated / airconditioned space and which is away from windows or sources of sunlight (e.g. hall, entrance, living room). Examples of vent locations: 2 distribution + 2 return 4 distribution + 2 return Distribution Return N.B.: Check the undercut of the inside doors for optimum air distribution. 7

Installation sequence 1 PREPARE THE COLLECTOR DUCTS A/ Insulate the Ø 75 mm ducts between the panels and the GSE PAC SYSTEM well using the insulation supplied: + = Duct insulator, Ø 75 mm Ringed duct, Ø 75 mm Insulated duct, Ø 75 mm B/ Position the Ø 75 mm O-rings at the ends of the Ø 75 mm collector ducts: + = O-Ringe Ringed duct, Ø 75 mm O-rings Ringed duct, Ø 75 mm + O-rings 2 CONNECT THE COLLECTOR DUCTS TO THE GSE AIR COLLECTOR PLATES WITH THE STRAIGHT OR BENT CONNECTIONS + or Insulated collector ducts, Ø 75 mm 87 elbow Ø 75 mm, male / female (Converted attic installation) Straight connection, Ø 75 mm, male / female + or GSE Air Collector plate, portrait, Ø 75 mm GSE Air Collector plate, landscape, Ø 75 mm 8

This installation will enable the CMV air to be mixed with the air under the panels, in addition to ensuring the continuity of the Cooling function when the under-panel temperature exceeds 45 C. It will also enable Heating mode Return to work vent Ø with 160 an mmunder- panel temperature of 0 C. Air vent Ø 125 mm Ø200 mm HP control Ø 160 mm CMV / attic supply CMV / attic return B) If there is no CMV in the home, it is recommended to connect to two Ø 125 mm extraction vents or three Ø 80 mm vents created for this purpose in rooms such as the bathroom, toilet and kitchen (VMC range selection: NO).! C) Leave the Attic CMV supply connection open in the attic (VMC range selection: NO); this will not allow the heat pump in Cooling mode to work with under-panel temperatures exceeding 45 C. Furthermore, this configuration involves the disadvantage of untimely filter clogging. 12

Installation sequence 9 CONNECT THE HOME OUTPUT CONNECTION ON THE ATU CONTROL UNIT TO THE 3-WAY DELTA COUPLING(S) BASED ON THE CHOSEN CONFIGURATION (REFER TO ANNEX FOR THE DIFFERENT KITS) + + Y ATU control unit Insulated air duct, Ø 200 mm Clamp 3-way delta coupling Roof discharge Air vent Ø 125 mm Air vent Ø 125 mm ATU control unit Ø200 mm HP control unit Air vent Ø 125 mm Air vent Ø 125 mm CMV / attic return 10 POSITION THE AIR VENTS AND RETURN VENTS IN THE SELECTED ROOMS Air vent, Ø 125 mm / Ø 160 mm Installed air vent PREFERABLY INSTALL THE AIR VENTS IN SHARED ROOMS (LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM, ETC.) AND IN HALLS. (REFER TO RECOMMENDATIONS ON P.4 6) 13

Installation sequence 11 THEN CONNECT THE 3-WAY DELTA COUPLING(S) TO THE AIR VENTS IN THE HOME WITH THE DUCT DIAMETER ADAPTED TO THE CHOSEN VENTS (Ø 125 MM OR 160 MM) Y + + + 3-way delta coupling Insulated air duct, Ø 200 mm Clamp Air vent, Ø 125 mm / Ø 160 mm 12 ENSURE THAT THE SYSTEM IS ACCESSIBLE VIA AN ACCESS PANEL TO ENABLE FILTER REPLACEMENT (ROUGHLY ONCE PER YEAR) AND SYSTEM MAINTENANCE 14

Installation sequence 13 POSITION THE ROOF CAP ON A PREFERRED FLAT THAT IS NOT USED BY THE PANELS AND IS IDEALLY AT THE TOP. Red / black plastic roof cap, Ø 200 mm CONNECT THE OUTPUT OF THE HP CONTROL UNIT TO THE ROOF CAP WITH THE Ø 200 MM INSULATED AIR DUCT + + HP control unit Red / black plastic roof cap, Ø 200 mm Insulated air duct, Ø 200 mm Roof discharge Air vent Ø 160 mm ATU control unit HP control unit Air vent Ø 160 mm Ø200 mm CMV / attic return 15

If the sensor touches the panel glass or frame and if it measures a value higher than the true value, the HP may not start up, despite the fact that the air behind it should normally allow this if, in fact, at a lower temperature. 16
