Product Definition - Performance As a function of material, quantity and programme Pre-ironing -> for blouses, shirts, trousers, jackets, skirts, coats etc. from linen, cotton, synthetic for 0,5 to ca. 1 kg laundry, that do not have to be ironed in ideal case Refresh -> Usable with not-washable and not washed textiles, Removing of smells, folds and rough creases - possibly is later necessary a ironing, since e.g. also Bügelfalten are removed Iron aid -> for all materials because relatively even moisture distribution on and in the materials for 0,5 to ca. 3 kg laundry 15

Definition Drying Process Hot dry air Hot humid air Condensation Air inlet Exit 16

Air Ccirculation System The drying functionality is influenced by two air circulation systems. a warm air circuit which is sealed within the appliance a cold air circuit which circulates ambient air through certain sections of the appliance The warm air circuit removes the humidity from the clothes fabrics and crosses the cold air circuit inside of the heat exchanger. The result is a thermal exchange which condenses the humidity contained in the warm air. The condensation water is collected in a tank. 17

Humidity Sensing Conductimetric sensor: The two halves of the drum are separated by an insulating strip. The impedance of the front and rear shells ( to which the sensors are connected) varies according to the wash load, the type of fabric and the degree of humidity. This value is converted into an oscillation of 260Hz and 0Hz by the electronic. It determines the duration of the cycle and the final humidity. opened circuit : 0Hz closed circuit : 260Hz +/- 10% 18
