After attending the Met de Penninghen workshop in 1999, Anne Grimaldi decided to turn her attention to interior design, luxury furniture design and manufacture. Her philosophy is to engender within those that experience a piece of her furniture, or a place she has designed, a new vision of furniture that places the emphasis on individual interpretations. «The forms suggest; you interpret» A.G. She offers a revolutionary vision of furniture by creating a unique way of associating shape with function, allowing for a more flexible interpretation of items. By changing proportions and dimensions of certain elements of a given piece, its functionality expands. A table is no longer just a table, but can be transformed, and substituted for a seat or a desk. Her major influences are the modern movement and theoretical reflections of urban concentration problems, as well as organic architecture.
