garbage and recyclables in our town Be knowledgeable and proactive about reducing and recycling waste! FY2014 edition Think whether something is needed or not before buying it. Do not buy unnecessary things. After you bought something, use it as long as you can before throwing it away. Sort waste and recyclables, and take them out to designated waste-collection points by 8:00 am on the designated day of week. Garbage and recyclables are collected on public holidays except over New Year s. If you take out a large quantity of garbage and recyclables at one time, it may interfere with the collection of garbage and recyclables that other people put out. Reduce the volume of garbage and recyclables as much as possible, and systematically put them out for collection. (Up to 5 bags are collected at a time.)
