PERFORMANCE TESTING IOTA Exit Signs and Emergency Fixtures that are equipped with integral battery and/or optional self-diagnostic capability feature an unobtrusive AC indicator and test switch. The AC On indicator will remain lit during normal operation, indicating that the battery is receiving a charge and is in the standby mode. Pressing the Test button on the unit will simulate a power loss situation and switch the unit to the battery supply, verifying proper operation of the internal emergency battery. SELF-DIAGNOSTIC CODES SELF-DIAGNOSTIC OPTION Self-Diagnostics capability automatically conducts periodic testing of the equipment and battery to help prevent problems before a loss of AC power. Self-diagnostic models will conduct a 1-minute test every month, a 30-minute test every six months, and a full 90-minute test every twelve months. The self-testing functions are pre-set at the factory with no need for field adjustment. Self-diagnostic models feature a dual color (Red/Green) led indicator that will be lit Green when ON/ READY and will flash when TESTING. If a fault is encountered, the LED will flash Red. Refer to the chart to determine fault status.
