Introduction Dear Customer, In our beautiful business of horticulture, we always need to be at least one season ahead in our planning and ordering. As I write this, March is still holding on with sub-zero nights (both Celsius and Farenheit), our spring program is still in its early stages of planting and growth, and our fall program has been planned and supplies are being ordered. When you receive this catalog, your spring sales are most likely starting to slow down a bit; I sincerely hope you re having a great season! We hope that these pages will inspire you with ideas to keep your garden center or landscape jobs in full color from August through October, even November in some places. We offer a wide range of fall plants Mums, Asters, Pansies, Viola, Grasses, Kale, Dianthus, Dusty Miller, and Rudbeckia. Our quart program is the ideal size for creating fall planters and hangers, or refreshing flowerbeds that look tired after the summer s heat. Larger pots of Mums and Asters will add vibrant color to your customer s porches and patios, while plantings of Kale will provide brilliant displays even after repeated freezes have turned everything else brown. In early September, our beautiful cyclamen crop will be starting to flower. We encourage you to order some along with your outdoor plant orders; indoor color is always in season. We are excited to announce that construction has begun on three additional acres of greenhouses here at Jolly Farmer. We will be increasing production for the spring of 2018, enabling us not to sell out of our most popular items so early! And if your purchases from Jolly Farmer have been mostly fall or holiday plants, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your spring needs as well.
