FLOWER SHOW RULES 1. All classes are open to all District Nine members. 2. Entries are to be in place by 9:30 a.m., September 24, 2011, ready for judging at 10:00 a.m. 3. Entries must remain in place until the close of the meeting. 4. Design Division: Plant material for design classes 1-7 may be from any source. Artificial plant material is prohibited. Only one entry per class per exhibitor 5. Horticultural Division: Classes 8-16, must have been grown by the exhibitor 6. Society Display Classes 17 A & 17 B must be the collaborative effort of three or more members of the Society 7. Wild Collected plants of endangered species are strictly forbidden. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to make sure none of these plants are on exhibit. 8. A Class may be subdivided at the discretion of the Flower Show Committee. 9. The Show Committee will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the exhibits and containers, but District 9 and the Host Society, cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or breakage. 10. Judging will be in accordance with The Ontario Judging and Exhibiting Standards for Horticulture and Floral Design, Revised 2003. 11. The decision of the judges is final. Class 17A - a display of foliage Class 17B - a display of fall flowers Photography Class 18 - A Special Bloom - On the back of the matted pictures the name of entrant, class #, class name should be clearly visible.
