Introduction The sensor is an active motion detector; it emits a high-frequency electro-magnetic wave 5.8GHz and receives its echo. The sensor detects the change in echo from movement in its detection zone. A microprocessor then triggers the switch light ON command. Note: the high-frequency output of this sensor is <1mW; approximately just 0.1% of the transmission power of a mobile telephone or the output of a microwave oven. Features Compact design makes it suitable to fit within most luminaires. Meaning no external indication that the area is being controlled Movement can be detected through plastic and glass diffusers Can switch on/off with non dimmable fluorescent/led ballasts or switch dim when used in conjunction with a One LUX Motion PHASE ballast. (Please see info below) Hold time adjustment from 5 seconds to 25 minutes Sensitivity/range adjustment from 1-8 metres Built in adjustable daylight sensor 800W maximum load meaning one sensor can control a bank of light fittings 50,000 hour life 2 Product type: microwave motion sensor Operating voltage: 220/240V ~ 50hz/60Hz HF system: 5.8GHz cw radar Transmission power: <1MW Rated load: 800w (resistive load) 400W (inductive load) Detection angle: 30~150 Power consumption: approx 0.9W Reach: 1-8m (radius), adjustable Time setting: 5s ~ 25 minutes Mounting: indoor ceiling and wall mounting Light control: 2 ~ 30lux adjustable Operating temperature: -10 C to + 60 C

Function The One-LUX Motion-PHASE function allows energy saving without compromising comfort or security. When used in conjunction with a One-LUX dimmable ballast, Motion-PHASE function delivers optimum energy savings. It is perfect for use in corridors, stairwells and underground passageways where low light levels are maintained until motion is detected. Never be left in the dark with One-LUX Motion-PHASE. Guidelines This sensor should be installed in accordance with wiring regulations by a qualified electrician. This sensor should not be modified in any way. One-LUX will not accept any responsibility for modified products or for any damage caused as a result of any modifications. Any modifications made to this product will invalidate any warranties issued with this product. It is the responsibility of the installer to consider any fire risk and take the appropriate. precautions. This sensor should be connected to a stable and permanent mains supply of 220/240V~50Hz/ 60Hz 4 Installation and Wiring with Standard Ballast Ensure that the electrical supply is switched off completely before installing or servicing this product. The sensor works with a mains voltage of 220-240V (+/-10%) 50/60 Hz A 100-120V version is available to order. The sensor has a 3-wire electrical input: N (neutral / 230 V AC) L (phase / 230 V AC) L (switched phase / output) To connect several standard ballasts with one sensor (ON-OFF function), the wiring should be as the following schematic :
Installation and Wiring with Motion-PHASE Ballast To connect several dimmable ballasts with one sensor (ON-OFF function), the wiring should be as the following schematic : Set up guide Detection Sensitivity: This determines the effective range of the motion detector and is set by DIP switches on the sensor itself. Note that reducing the sensitivity will also narrow the detection range. 5 The following settings are available: I - maximum range up to 5m II - range up to 3.5m III - range up to 2m IV - range up to 1.5m V - range up to 1m Hold time: This determines the length of time the lamp is held on after movement is detected and is set by DIP switches. The walk test setting is useful when installing the fitting to establish correct operation and range. The following settings are available: I - Walk test mode 5s II - 30s III - 3 minutes IV - 5 minutes V - 15 minutes VI - 25 minutes Daylight Sensor: This setting holds the lamp off should there be sufficient daylight and is set using DIP switches on the sensor. The following settings are available: I - 2 lux darkness operation only II - 5 lux darkness operation only III - 20 lux twilight operation IV - 30 lux twilight operation V - daylight, daylight sensor disabled
