Ceiling outlet CGx Technical Description Overview of air outlets CGF/CGG/CGO Overview of CGF/CGG ceiling outlets A sample CGF-H ceiling outlet is presented here. Suspension Other mounting methods are possible. Ceiling anchor Depending on ceiling type CGF-H Round lateral connection fitting optional with air shutoff flap CGF housing (welded steel coated with PES lacquer) Hose checking airtight fit of the filter (optional for CGF with U profile seal) HEPA/ULPA Closing mechanism of the air shutoff flap Air outlet Perferated D35 Hose Connection for differential pressure measurement or for the task of a test aerosol Use ceiling outlet CGF/CGG/CGO As the last filter level, The ceiling outlet CGF/CGG/CGO with built-in HEPA filter fulfills the function of the highly effective separation of particle shaped contaminants of all types including microorganisms. DencoHappel ceiling outlet filters satisfy the following requirements: Compact design Very easy handling High operating safety thanks to HEPA filters manufactured in established hot-melt pleating method Wide-range filter assortment Check device for filter airtight fit with a U-shaped profile seal; alternatively highest seat tightness can be ensured through a fluid seal. The product is used in the following applications: Air handling units in hospitals according to DIN 1946 Part 4 for room class I Operating rooms of type B and relevant adjoining rooms Intensive care units, emergency rooms as well as intermediate wards for special care and care wards for premature babies Clean rooms Pharmaceutical industry Genetic engineering and microbiology Manufacturing of components for semi-conductor and solar panel industry Food product industry, etc. PR-2015-0102-GB Subject to modifications R0-01/2016 3

Technical Description Components of air outlets CGF/CG/CGO Ceiling outlet CGx Components ceiling outlets CGF/CG/CGO Casing Shut-off flap The filter casing consists of the following components: Lateral connector with an integrated shut off flap, air tight shutting according to DIN 1946 Part 4 (in the delivery a selection with a vertical connector and without a shut off flap is possible) Air shutoff flap with manual activation Probe for measuring of pressure above HEPA filter with a U-shaped profile seal (pressure drop) or air sampling (validation) Integrated pressure-gauge connection for monitoring pressure drop Tube for applying test aerosol (measuring of concentration) Sealing of filters is performed using four easy-to-handle non-slip clamping elements The fixation of different air diffusors is carried out using central or 4-point locks The casing can be provided for HEPA filters of the filter class H13 to U15 with dry seal (PU foamed, flat and U profiled seal) or with fluid seal (CGG) The casing is routinely intended for HEPA filters with the overall depth 78 mm The CGO casing (without HEPA filter) can also be supplied for extract air applications, the measuring and testing devices are not necessary in this case. With diverse peripheral frames, strips and profiles, the casing with the air diffusers can be adapted to the corresponding ceiling construction The wall thickness of the casing is 1.5 mm Casing sizes [mm] 318 x 318 (for filter size 305/305 mm) 470 x 470 (for filter size 457/457 mm) 587 x 587 for filter size 575/575 mm) 623 x 623 (for filter size 610/610 mm) The air shut-off flap made of sheet steel, integrated in the connection fittings, enables the air density separation of the last filter stage from the rest of the duct system. In such a way, a filter replacement can be carried out without stopping the air handling unit. Ceiling outlet CGx Sample Installation CGX Filter installation ATTENTION Damage to the unit! Testing manometer only possible for filter insert with a height of 78 mm! Test manometer A50286 must be ordered separately! Only filters with U-profile seals allow a filter seal seat test, as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4! Assembly variants Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 3 Fig. 4 Test manometer A50286 Only possible for filter insert of height 78 mm Insert filter into the housing up to the corners with the clamps. Press the filter carefully in the frame and tighten the holder screws only "somewhat". Seal thereby touches the frame. See Fig. 1). Finally, subsequently tighten the holder screws always turn one screw revolution at a time. Employ the filter tight seat testing facility and test for the correct seat. See Fig. 4). ATTENTION Damage to the unit! If you determine a leak during the inspection, turn the screws one after the other by half a screw rotation. If, after renewed measurements, the filter nonetheless leaks, exchange the filter seal or the entire filter insert. Filter size 610x610x78 Please consider following recommendations for the estimation of the filter integrity: The values are displayed in Tab. 2. Air tightness is not longer given if no vacuum is ensured with a 60 kpa pressure difference. Leaks are not permitted. Appendix Outlets Ceiling outlet CGx Outlets of type C configured as D 22, D 40 (LAM) The features of outlets C 623 D 22, which are presented in the following drawings, specify air flow velocity at the required distance as well as outlet width. These features are based upon standard room heights with air throw up to 10 m. Constant axis velocity of air discharged from the outlet is presented in the diagram by the vertical lines, where the line break presents a change from plain air flow into turbulent air flow. Example Selected: Calculated: Note: Air throw of air flow is limited by the velocity amounting to 0.2 m.s -1. H 1 = 4 m... desired distance of the working area v my = 0.3 m.s -1... desired maximum velocity in the working area Q = 600 m 3.h -1... air flow b x = 1.5 m... width of the air flow in the working area b = 0 m Outlets with other discharge cross sections of sizes 470, 318 or grids e.g. 4/2 (1246 x 1246) share similar geometrical velocity patterns.
