All rooftop units include Carrier s humidimizer system which noted on the unit report for each rooftop unit. All rooftop units include differential enthalpy economizers. The rooftop Comfortlink controller uses the inputs from two enthalpy sensors to achieve differential enthalpy control. Each unit report will show an economizer with a single enthalpy sensor, and an accessory return air enthalpy sensor which must be field installed and connected to the Comfortlink controller. All rooftop units include power exhaust as noted on the unit report for each rooftop unit.

Spec Sheet Spec Sheet for RTU-101 102 202 Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification System Specification Sheet For Factory Installed Humidi-MiZer systems on 2-25 ton Commercial Rooftop Units APPLICABLE UNITS: 48/50PG, PM 03-28 48/50TC 03-28 48/50HE 003-006 48/50HJ 004-014 GENERAL DATA The Carrier Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system is an all-inclusive factory-installed option, available on Carrier's 2-25 ton unitary rooftop units. It is a cost effective, yet flexible and high performing solution to high humidity and part-load issues for packaged rooftop applications. The system expands the unit's envelope of operation by providing significantly more stages of unit Sensible Heat Ratio (SHR) based on the space temperature and humidity demand. SYSTEM SUMMARY The Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system utilizes a condenser reheat coil, on all refrigerant circuits, located in the airflow path directly downstream from the evaporator. When activated, the refrigerant flows through the condenser, through the Humidi-MiZer coil and then through the evaporator. A condenser bypass line allows hot refrigerant gas to bypass the condenser and vary the refrigerant temperature before it enters the Humidi-MiZer coil. See Figure 1. It is a cost effective, yet flexible and high performing solution to high humidity and part-load issues for packaged rooftop applications. The system expands the unit's envelope of operation by providing significantly more stages of unit Sensible Heat Ratio (SHR) based on the space temperature and humidity demand. SYSTEM SUMMARY The Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system utilizes a condenser reheat coil, on all refrigerant circuits, located in the airflow path directly downstream from the evaporator. It is a cost effective, yet flexible and high performing solution to high humidity and part-load issues for packaged rooftop applications. The system expands the unit's envelope of operation by providing significantly more stages of unit Sensible Heat Ratio (SHR) based on the space temperature and humidity demand. SYSTEM SUMMARY The Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system utilizes a condenser reheat coil, on all refrigerant circuits, located in the airflow path directly downstream from the evaporator. When activated, the refrigerant flows through the condenser, through the Humidi-MiZer coil and then through the evaporator. A condenser bypass line allows hot refrigerant gas to bypass the condenser and vary the refrigerant temperature before it enters the Humidi-MiZer coil. See Figure 1. The location of the coil and the refrigerant flow path allow the refrigerant to be significantly subcooled and the indoor air to be partially reheated for part-load applications or fully reheated for dehumidification only applications. If normal unit operation is required the Humidi-MiZer coil is deactivated. In a two circuit unit, the circuits can be operated independently of each other, allowing a wide range of unit performance and SHR's. SYSTEM FEATURES The Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system features: Reheat coil on all refrigerant circuits in the unit; provides up to 5 additional steps of unit capacity and operation Each circuit in the unit is capable of 3 modes of operation: o Normal - demand for cooling only. The system expands the unit's envelope of operation by providing significantly more stages of unit Sensible Heat Ratio (SHR) based on the space temperature and humidity demand. SYSTEM SUMMARY The Humidi-MiZer Adaptive Dehumidification system utilizes a condenser reheat coil, on all refrigerant circuits, located in the airflow path directly downstream from the evaporator. When activated, the refrigerant flows through the condenser, through the Humidi-MiZer coil and then through the evaporator. A condenser bypass line allows hot refrigerant gas to bypass the condenser and vary the refrigerant temperature before it enters the Humidi-MiZer coil. See Figure 1. The location of the coil and the refrigerant flow path allow the refrigerant to be significantly subcooled and the indoor air to be partially reheated for part-load applications or fully reheated for dehumidification only applications. If normal unit operation is required the Humidi-MiZer coil is deactivated. In a two circuit unit, the circuits can be operated independently of each other, allowing a wide range of unit performance and SHR's. Allows a conditioned space that is cooled and significantly more dehumidified, but not over-cooled. o ReHeat - demand for space dehumidification only. Unit supply air temperature is neutral (~72-75 but dehumidified.
