Each unit shall be constructed of heavy duty engineered Cast Iron with Ductile Iron impeller, Cast Iron volute, Cast Iron wear plate, assembled with Stainless Steel hardware. The pump shall be painted with standard factory paint. Each pump shall be equipped with a Cool Agivent device which shall vent the pump case, cool the motor and agitate the wet well. The Cool Agivent shall provide enough cooling to dissipate any excess heat generated by the motor in the event of prolonged operation with the motor exposed. Reliance 1 HP, 17 RPM, 115Volts/1Phase/60hz., 180TY frame, U.L. listed submersible explosion proof motor, rated Class 1, Division 1, Groups C & D for hazardous locations, with Buna-N O-rings, Carbon/Ceramic upper mechanical seal with Buna-N elastomers and Carbon/Ceramic lower mechanical seal with Buna-N elastomers, 416 Stainless Steel shaft, Class F insulation, oil buffer zone, moisture sensing probes, built-in thermal overload protection, 25 ft. motor leads, and ESSCO/Reliance five year warranty. The exterior of the motor shall be coated with standard factory paint. Approximate shipping weight: 300 lbs. Two -Hose fitting set consisting of (2) Plated Steel nipples, 10' of 2" hose and bolted hose clamps. EXPLOSION-PROOF SUBMERSIBLE SUMP PUMP ESSCO utilizes a single piece volute design with extra material in high wear areas. IMPELLER: ESSCO pumps are available with various impeller designs to allow for high capacity low head or low capacity high head applications. ESSCO utilizes investment cast impellers for higher casting density and thicker vanes and back shrouds which allow for maximum life. By use of the JLI manufacturing techniques ESSCO offers trimmed impellers in extremely hard and difficult to handle alloys. By use of this production technique, impellers can be machined to act as a shredder (for solids coming in contact with the eye of the impeller) or machined to handle solids more delicate in nature. ESSCO heavy duty submersible explosionproof sump pumps are of the 100% recessed impeller design. Each unit is capable of handling long stringy material, large size solids and slurries within maximum solids handling efficiency. The ESSCO pump incorporates the vortex pumping action along with unique pump design, allowing the greatest flexibility in the submersible pump field. VOLUTE: Each volute is engineered for maximum life in "sump pump" duties. WEAR PLATE: The ESSCO MODEL 252 comes standard with a wear plate located behind the impeller. The wear plate is designed to protect the motor bracket and mechanical seal from particle erosion. The wear plate can also act as a barrier for a seal flushing fluid when a simple wear plate is not sufficient protection against wear created by the pumped media. Again ESSCO utilizes the JLI production method for manufacturing this pump component to ensure the best possible casting quality and material density. COOL AGIVENT: Each ESSCO submersible pump includes a Cool Agivent apparatus which is for venting pump case and cooling external surface of the motor. Shank Fittings King Combination Nipples Combination nipples are recommended for low-pressure discharge and suction service for compatible liquids. They are not for compressible products such as air or nitrogen on sizes 1¼" and above. King Combination Nipples are not recommended for steam. The working pressure may vary with the construction of the hose, the type of clamping system used and the application. Consult the factory for recommendations. In accordance with the R.M.A. bulletin for oil suction and discharge hose, a coupled length of hose in any size, should be tested to 1½ times the working pressure and held for fifteen minutes without leaking or coupling movement.
