With these new introductions, the Neolith range now offers over 50 different décors across its seven collections that are available in Satin, Polished, Silk, Riverwashed, in 3, 6, and 12mm thicknesses, providing specifiers with even more choice and a broader scope of design possibilities. A BRAND NEW COLLECTION Aligning itself with the latest market trends for industrial looks in interiors, TheSize introduces Steel Marengo in a brand new collection: Steel Collection. With a dark grey-tone similar to Pietra di Piombo, Steel Marengo is the perfect alternative to stainless steel, as it combines the metallic feel and reflection throughout the slab with the inherent high-tech properties of sintered compact surfaces. Ideal for kitchen worktop applications (12mm), Neolith Steel Marengo is a durable solution that is highly hygienic and resistant to stain, heat, scratches, abrasion, and wear and tear. 6 NEW DESIGNS FROM NEOLITH BY THESIZE Steel Marengo, Strata Argentum, Calacatta Gold, La Bohème, Iron Frost and Pierre Bleue are the six new designs introduced this year at Marmomacc. Following the success of Calacatta winner of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 and Muuuz International Awards 2015 (MIAW), TheSize developed Calacatta Gold, an elegant gold-veined surface that is in line with the return of the golden trend for bold and luxurious interior designs. Just as with Neolith Calacatta, the new model will be able to be bookmatched and available in 6 and 12mm thickness in Polished and Silk finish. Inspired by Silver Travertino, the new decor, Strata Argentum with its white and silver horizontal lines, brings out the delicacy of the material and is a unique and incomparable offer in the current market. It will be available in Riverwashed finish emulating the texture of natural raw stone. Neolith Calacatta Gold / Neolith Strata Argentum (Classtone Collection) Both Calacatta Gold and Strata Argentum are part of the Classtone Collection, a range of striking sophisticated marble décors available in Silk, Riverwashed and Polished finishes and in 6 and 12mm, and especially suited for worktops, flooring and cladding. In the Timber Collection, TheSize is introducing the first wood décor manufactured in 12mm thickness, La Bohème, ideal for worktop applications and kitchen islands. Inspired by the trunk of a Lebanese Cedar, this new design stands out from the collection with its bold grain and raw wooden colour. When combined with marble, stone or steel, it gives a modern and warm look with a touch of romanticism to the space where it is applied. Neolith La Bohème (Timber Collection)
Aligning itself with the current market trends for industrial materials, the glittering Iron Frost is a very light white and grey décor that gives the surface a feel of transparency. With this latest addition, the Iron Collection is now available in 7 different décors and perfect for creating striking modern aesthetic designs. Neolith Iron Frost (Iron Collection) PIERRE BLEUE: NEWEST FULLY BODY DÉCOR Pierre Bleue is a reinterpretation of a Neolith classic: Belgian Blue. Inspired by the natural stone known as le Petit Granit, the décor is the result of employing the latest techniques in Neolith Full Body and NDD technologies. Integrating numerous fossils and rock elements through the entire grey-blue body, Pierre Bleue stands out for its high degree of definition and realism, and is available in 6 and 12mm. TheSize s newest techniques in full body and NDD technologies enables architects and designers to create bespoke artworks while ensuring the continuity and visibility of the superficial pattern and elements also at the edges when cutting sintered compact surfaces. To further its offer, TheSize continues its investment in research and development and will be adding more colour choices in Full Body in the future. Neolith Pierre Bleue (Fusion Collection)
NEW THICKNESS To open new design possibilities, TheSize is now offering its popular décor, Beton (Fusion Collection), in a 3mm thickness. This lighter option in the range helps create modern industrial looks and is ideal for furniture, cabinetry and wall cladding. In addition, TheSize is the first company to successfully manufacture a 20mm slab using proprietary sintering technology. A new thickness that can be easily cut employing the same fabrication tools used throughout the Neolith collections; a Basalt Black countertop will be available in Neolith s stand at Marmomacc (Stand G6, Hall 11) to showcase the durability and workability of the slab. Feedback from architects, designers and the construction market visiting the stand will determine whether the new 20mm thickness will be a permanent addition to the Neolith collection. This represents another step forward in the commitment undertaken by TheSize to ensure product development remains innovative and continues to meet market demands. NEW TREATMENT ON DEMAND: NATURAL HONED The Natural Honed effect is attained by applying a special treatment on the Neolith Surface to achieve a honed texture typical of natural stones: flat, soft, without any glossiness and completely matt. Applying Natural Honed to a décor with a Satin finish increases the softness of the surface; whilst application to a décor with a Silk finish has the effect of decreasing the light that reflects off the surface thereby ensuring the surface maintains its soft and silky aesthetic. The Natural Honed effect reinforces TheSize s dedication to providing surfacing solutions that meet the highest expectations of both clients and industry professionals. - ends - At Marmomacc, Alvaro Palencia, Neolith s Architectural Project Manager, will be available to provide further insight into the design developments. About TheSize Headquartered in Castellón, Spain, TheSize was founded in 2009 with the objective of creating a new material category suitable for exterior and interior construction: kitchen and bath countertops, furnishings, flooring and facades. In 2011, the Neolith brand was launched as high-end compact surface with revolutionary physical and technical features. A term meaning new stone, Neolith combines the best natural raw materials with state-of-the-art technology to create a high-tech slab. Neolith s product is created through the company s proprietary sinterization technology, exposing minerals and other raw materials to extremely high pressure and temperature (over 1200 degrees Celsius/2200 degrees Fahrenheit), resembling the way natural stone forms over thousands of years, in just hours. The process gives the product outstanding physical and mechanical properties in terms of compaction, resistance and durability. The various style collections are a result of Neolith s innovative Digital Design (NDD) decoration technique. This system has revolutionized Neolith patterns and is pushing the boundaries of what colors and textures are possible from compact surfaces. Neolith is a pioneer brand, providing a high-tech, versatile architectural solution with avant-garde properties. www.neolith.com
