The unique concept with the logarithmic curve provides a comfortable change between 0 and 100 %. Together with the precise provided by the units the fully electronic PCA ballasts and TEL transformers have the technological means to provide perfect ing quality. 3

A specially developed ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) and modern power electronics together with (Digital Serial Interface) units form the peak of ing. Unlike the 1-10 V system which uses analogue signals the LUXMATE system uses code. In this way all the disadvantages of the older analogue system can be overcome and new possibilities of ing can be realised. Advantages of the LUXMATE System All luminaires receive precisely the same disturbance proof signal and give the same output. Simple wiring with 5 core standard cable (2 x leads and 3 x mains leads). The non-polar wires simplify the wiring and remove a source of failures. Possible faults on the bus connection are recognised, false signals are ignored, and the output remains at the last correct value. Failure signals (e. g. lamp failure) can be recognised by the unit, integration of the return failure signal in available information channels for central processing is possible. Such high savings come from both the economical operation of the lamp and from linking of the PCA ballasts and TEL transformers with day sensors and presence detectors. Through the use of high grade components LUXMATE units have a mean service life of 50,000 hours within the permissible temperature range and a MTBF value of 400,000 hours. The exact of brightness and power means that operation in the dimmed mode has no negative influence on lamp life. The LUXMATE units have comprehensive safety features. The PCA is constantly monitoring it's own performance and the lamp, defective lamps will automatically be shut down and automatically restarted after lamp change.
