Sunbeam s Safety Precautions SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR SUNBEAM CAFE CREAMY. Do not touch the heating element surface during or after operation as this may result in burning. Always use the handle on the milk jug when using this appliance. Do not insert foreign objects such as knives or forks into the milk jug while in operation. Always secure the milk jug lid before operation, as hot contents may be ejected during use. Only operate when the milk jug is filled above the min indication. Do not use when empty. Never fill the jug above the max indication as hot contents may be ejected. After foaming and heating milk the empty appliance needs approximately 4 minutes to cool down. The appliance can only be operated again after cooling. Intended for heating, foaming and blending milk only. Only operate the appliance when the milk jug is correctly attached. The milk frother is only intended for use with the jug provided. Sunbeam is very safety conscious when designing and manufacturing consumer products, but it is essential that the product user also exercise care when using an electrical appliance. Listed below are precautions which are essential for the safe use of an electrical appliance: Read carefully and save all the instructions provided with an appliance. Always turn the power off at the power outlet before you insert or remove a plug. Remove by grasping the plug - do not pull on the cord. Turn the power off and remove the plug when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning. Do not use your appliance with an extension cord unless this cord has been checked and tested by a qualified technician or service person. Always use your appliance from a power outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked on the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. Never leave an appliance unattended while in use. Do not use an appliance for any purpose other than its intended use. Do not place an appliance on or near a hot gas flame, electric element or on a heated oven. Do not place on top of any other appliance. Do not let the power cord of an appliance hang over the edge of a table or bench top or touch any hot surface. For additional protection, Sunbeam recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying power to your appliances. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid unless recommended. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. Features of your Sunbeam Cafe Creamy Plastic Lid Ensures no spillage while heating, foaming or blending milk. Foam Blender Attachment (Labelled FOAM ) Create hot, foamed milk for your coffee. Jug Handle Allows easy handling before and after operation, and while milk jug is hot. Milk Jug 250mL capacity is large enough to create frothy milk for two standard coffees. Easily removed for cleaning. Push Button Control Panel Easy to use control panel delivers cold milk, hot milk or foamed milk. 2

Filling level indicators With max and min level indication marks Power base With a powerful 650W element for heating, foaming and blending milk quickly. Automatic Temperature Control Ensures milk does not burn during heating and foaming process. Accessory Storage Blending attachments can be stored easily underneath the power base, clipping into place using magnets. Accessories Milk Mixing Attachment (Labelled MIX ) Blends chocolate powder with milk to create either hot chocolate or cold chocolate drinks. Foam Blender Attachment (Labelled FOAM ) Create hot, foamed milk for your coffee. Cord Storage Non-slip rubber feet Makes the unit sturdy, preventing it from slipping or scratching the bench top. 3

Using your Cafe Creamy Automatic Milk Frother Before using your Cafe Creamy Automatic Milk Frother for the first time, wash the milk jug and plastic lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Repeat with the foam and milk mixing attachments located underneath the power base. Note: Do not immerse the power base in water or any other liquid, or allow moisture to come into contact with these parts. See Figure 1. Preparing Hot Milk Beverage with Foam 1. Remove the milk jug from the power base. 2. Open the lid of the milk jug and insert the foam blender attachment into the base of the milk jug. 3. Pour milk into the milk jug, to a maximum of 250mL, the level that is marked with M for max. See Figure 3. Tip: To create a frothy hot chocolate, simply add 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate powder. Figure 1 Figure 2 Note: Do not place any part of the appliance in the dishwasher. Note: To stop the appliance at any time, press the button on the control panel originally activated again. Plug the power cord into a 230-240V AC power outlet and switch the power on and place the milk jug on the heating element on the power base. Note: The appliance does not have an on/ off button. Functions are activated through pressing feature buttons located on the control panel. 4

In approximately 1 to 2 minutes, dependent on the volume of milk, the appliance will automatically switch off and you will be left with hot, foamed milk in the milk jug. Note: The foam milk button selected will remain illuminated during operation, and will turn off automatically when the milk foaming is complete. Note: Only remove the milk jug from the power base to pour using the jug handle, as the milk jug body may be hot. Do not drink directly out of the milk jug. Note: Flashing control panel lights indicate the appliance is cooling down. Please wait approximately 4 minutes before restarting the appliance. 7. Follow cleaning instructions in the Care and Cleaning Instructions section of this manual found on page 7, after use to ensure long life. Preparing Hot Milk Beverages 1. Note: The milk jug must also be filled above the minimum level, as indicated by O symbol, to operate properly. 4. Add 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate powder, instant coffee or an espresso shot. 5. Plug the power cord into a 230-240V AC power outlet and switch the power on and place the milk jug on the heating element on the power base. Note: The appliance does not have an on/ off power button. Functions are activated through pressing feature buttons located on the control. 6. Press the mix cold milk button to begin the cold milk blending function. In approximately 3 minutes, the appliance will automatically switch off and you will be left with cold milk beverage in the milk jug. Pour into a glass filled with ice to keep cool.

Care and Cleaning Instructions Always disconnect the Cafe Creamy from the power outlet before cleaning any parts. Note: Before cleaning after use, wait for the appliance to cool down. Note: Do not immerse the power base in water or any other liquid, or allow moisture to come into contact with these parts. See Figure 1. Note: Do not place any part of the appliance in the dishwasher. Preparing for use Before using your Cafe Creamy Automatic Milk Frother for the first time, wash the milk jug and plastic lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Repeat with the foam blender and milk mixing attachments located underneath the power base. Cleaning the Milk Jug and Blending Attachment after use After removing the milk jug from the power base and emptying its contents, wait for the milk jug to cool down. Then remove the blender attachment from the base of the milk jug. When cleaning the inside of the milk jug and blending attachment, hand-wash only using a sponge or a soft brush together with normal dish washing liquid. Be careful when cleaning the base of the milk jug where the heating element has contact, as it must not be scratched. Cleaning the power base in case of spillage If milk spills onto the power base, switch off the power outlet immediately and remove the plug. Using a damp cloth gently wipe spillage from power base. Ensure appliance is dry before plugging into power outlet. Note: Do not use any solvents or abrasive agents for cleaning. Do not use and sharp or hard instruments such as steel wool for cleaning. 7
