Litron s Zeropoint Series Setting the New Standard in Advanced Chiller Technology. Applications include Analytical lab systems High vacuum Semiconductor fabrication Electro-optical systems Laser systems Ophthalmic lab equipment Medical systems Chemical processing Manufacturing systems Industrial processing Litron s Zeropoint chiller series comprises rack-mount and stand-alone portable chillers that are designed to cool heat loads from 70-200W. These industry standard chillers have been engineered for laser, medical, scientific and precision manufacturing applications. With full PID control and intelligent software the chillers can be stabilised to within ±0. C of the set temperature. Litron s chillers use of RS-0 (R2a) refrigerant is significantly more energy efficient than other refrigerants on the market today. With a low GWP (global warming potential), combined with a high co-efficient of performance, RS-0 (R2a) results in a low carbon footprint. The R series (rack mount) recirculation chillers are smaller in size than other similar chillers on the market for a given cooling capacity. For example, the ZP20R (2000W) enclosure measures just 7U in height. The chillers are easy to service and maintain with all filters and drainage via the front panel, so there is no need to remove the unit from the rack. Quiet operation and very low vibration levels make the chillers ideal for a wide range of precision applications. With a choice of different pump configurations of up to 0l/m at bar, a wide range of flow requirements can also be met. ZEROPOINT CHILLER SERIES

Standard features Water to air cooling Water temperature stability ±0. C Using microprocessor control and accurate feedback to ensure precision primary water temperature control. Deionised water compatible All of the primary water circuit uses materials that are fully compatible (and tested for long term use) with deionised water with conductivity between 0.2 and 20µS/cm. This includes the pump, heat exchangers and all water connections. Visual and electronic water level indication An illuminated external water level view port is supported by an electronic water level indicator with two warning levels to notify when intervention is required. Easy fill system with integrated quick change return filter The front panel fill spout is used to quickly fill the reservoir. The standard return flow filter is housed within the spout to allow for simple and quick exchange. Easy drain port on front panel Using the supplied drain hose, the primary water can be drained and re-filled without removing the chiller from a 9 rack or needing to move the stand-alone version from its location. High accuracy flow metering Integral flow meter with display to the front panel, remote control or PC software. Vital for cooling laser diodes and devices needing specific flow rates. Front panel flow rate adjuster Allows system water flow rate to be adjusted up or down to match the device requirements (once it is fitted to the cooling circuit). Ensures long term reliability and prevents potential damage due to overpressure. Complete set of internal monitoring interlocks The chiller continuously monitors both primary water and critical chiller functions and will shut down the pump and chiller automatically if an external leak or over specification heat load is applied. Flow (outlet) and return (inlet) water temperature monitoring Dual sensors allow the user to ensure that water being supplied to the cooled item is at the right temperature when leaving the chiller. Real-time heat load calculations Using the standard sensor suite the microprocessor controller can provide real time feedback of the heat load being applied to the primary water system. On-board 00W water reservoir heater Faster warm up time to set temperature when starting from cold ambient. Ability to maintain set temperature even if no load (heat) is being applied to the coolant water. Main pump auto prime function To help minimise down time during routine maintenance, the system has a self-controlling auto-prime function to remove air that may have entered the cooling line during water replacement. Main control interlock interface Allows the user to read the status of key coolant related interlocks using only 2V DC signals. These include coolant temperature high/low, low flow, low fill level and high conductivity (when conductivity meter option is fitted). Error history recording The system will record and display the last error and any previous interlock warnings or errors that have occurred. This makes for fast and reliable diagnosis of which coolant issue has caused the chiller to shut down. Remote start / stop function Uses a simple 2V signal to start and stop the chiller operation. Intelligent and adaptable RS22 software Full schematic control interface with sensor locations and outputs indicated. Source code and libraries provided to allow full integration with customer software control. CAN bus connection Allows the chiller to be controlled by the main machine CAN bus control. Provides both control and data feedback to the users equipment. 0/0Hz dual frequency standard pump and compressor Standard model can be operated anywhere in the world without modification. Adjustable DC cooling fan control The main cooling fan uses Pulse Width Modulated speed control. Outlet pressure sensor Detects the coolant pressure at the outlet port. This feature can be used to alert or stop the chiller and any attached equipment if the flow out of the chiller suddenly becomes blocked. Ambient temperature sensor Positioned at the main cooling air inlet zone. Provides feedback to the user and is linked to the chiller protection control to ensure the system can be operated safely without damaging the chiller or items attached to it.

Optional features Quick change flow (input) particle filter Mounted in the second easy fill spout on the front panel, this filter acts on 00% of the water flowing to the external device (this filter is in addition to the return flow filter, which remains with this option). Active deionisation cartridge Fitted internally or on the rear panel of the chiller. The deionisation cartridge is replaceable and will maintain the water conductivity at ~ 2µS/cm. Active conductivity metering and alarms Continuous monitoring of the primary water conductivity with alarm setting capability to warn when the conductivity exceeds the user defined maximum. Remote controller Included as standard on the stand-alone chillers, the remote controller connects directly to the chiller and duplicates the front panel controls of the rack mount front panel. Mains supply under voltage protection Will shut down the chiller if the input mains voltage falls below the safe limit for the chiller compressor and pump to prevent damage to the chiller. This is useful if the chiller is being supplied by either a transformer or a UPS protected supply. Custom pump configurations Options are available for higher flow / large head volume for specific applications, the most common being long distances; >0m, from the chiller to the equipment being cooled. Remote output temperature sensor Coolant temperature setpoint can be read up to 2m from the chiller. This ensures water entering the cooled equipment is at the correct temperature setpoint. Second flow meter turbine Provides two layer protection for flow critical application or allows differential flow comparison for external leak detection. Customisation and OEM integration Zeropoint chillers are completely designed and manufactured in the UK with several options available for OEM customers or for specific requirements. OEM branding of front panels or all external labelling of existing design 9 rack mount and stand-alone chillers. Custom designed chillers for unique space limitations including: - Split systems with refrigeration and water heat exchange in separate housings. - Specific external dimensions to fit existing equipment designs. Simple to use but fully controllable The control and information interface panel for the Zeropoint chillers provides a complete set of important setting and feedback information as standard. Once configured a single button press or external control voltage will start the chiller, the pump and control system. The chiller automatically controls the water heater or refrigeration to achieve the set temperature. Once set the system controls the water temperature with ±0. C accuracy even when there is no load on the coolant. A password protected administration function allows complete and detailed access to all the chiller control functions. This includes settings for: Water temperature sensor Refrigeration gas temperature sensor Ambient (air) temperature sensor Outlet and inlet temperature sensors Flow and pressure sensors Refrigerant and cooling fan PID settings System start options Optional items fitted 9 rackmount control panel. Comprehensive RS22 control interface All Zeropoint series chillers are supplied with comprehensive PC based software. This allows direct communication between the PC and the on board microprocessor based control system via RS22. The software provides information and setting capability for all the chiller s feedback and control systems. All of the digital and analogue control and feedback status items are visible from a single control screen. The Parameter screen displays detailed control setup information covering all set points for each control and for each part of the chiller system on both the refrigeration and coolant sides. Main status screens. The tuning section provides a highly customisable graphical feedback of the analogue measurements being continuously recorded by the chiller. Each specific element of the temperature, water coolant and refrigerant monitoring can be selectively displayed in any combination. This is exceptionally important when tuning highly temperature sensitive experiments or equipment with reacting temperature cycles. Full screen mode provides a large interface showing the chiller operation as a complete process control map. Controllable functions can be edited directly within this view. All the source code and software libraries are provided free of charge. Set up and tuning mode. Full screen control interface.
