This appliance must be installed correctly by a suitably qualified person, strictly following the manufacturer s instructions. This appliance complies with all current European safety legislation, however, the Manufacturer must emphasise that this compliance does not prevent the surfaces of the appliance from heating up during use and remaining hot during its operation. Accessible parts may become hot during use. Young children should be kept away. Care should be taken to avoid touching the appliance (e.g hob, cooker). Therefore, the Manufacturer highly recommends that this appliance be kept out of the reach of babies and small children. GB IE Operation Operation Temperature regulator (thermostat) Operating for the first time In more detail... When operating under normal conditions and unloaded, auto mode usually stops at the required temperature in 2 or 3 hours. Then set the thermostat to the required setting for the freezer conditions. Temperature control Caution: When the thermostat is turned clockwise to position "4", do not attempt to turn it further or it will be damaged. The freezer temperature can be adjusted by turning the thermostat. The closer the knob is set to position "3" position, the lower the temperature. A medium setting is the most suitable for general operations. Position "4" is colder than the position "1". The freezer temperature will vary depending on the quantity of food stored and the frequency of door opening. Use a wide flat bladed screwdriver or coin to adjust the temperature. NOTE: In order to maintain good cooling efficiency and save energy, we recommend you do not store too much food inside and do not open the door too frequently. 11

Operation GB IE Defrosting OFF Warning: Always switch off the electricity supply and unplug before performing maintenance work. In the event of a fault, contact customer services. Caution: The freezer chamber should not be directly heated using hot water or a hair dryer while defrosting to avoid deformation of the inner casing. NOTE: We recommend defrost the freezer once per year at least, to keep the performance. Have a towel ready as water will splash onto the floor. NOTE: Water contained inside or the air getting into the freezer when the door is opened forms a layer of frost inside. Thick frost will make the freezer less efficient. Frost that is more than 2 mm thick should be defrosted. 1 1. Before defrosting, take the food, the ice tray and the shelf separately from cold A chamber -A-. 2. Defrosting in the freezer chamber is operated manually. Set the A temperature regulator -1- to the OFF position, or alternatively switch off at the mains. A 3. Leave the unit door open. 4. Keep removing water from the base to avoid spillages. 5. Switch the appliance back on or adjust the thermostat to the required setting. In more detail... NOTE: The compressor will stop running and ice and frost will dissolve completely and fall to the bottom of the freezer chamber. 12

In more detail... GB IE Operation 6. Wipe off the water with soft cloth in order to speed up defrosting. 7. You may put a bowl of hot water (about 50 C) into the freezer chamber. 8. So as not damage the inner casing or the surface of the evaporator, ice and frost should not be scraped off. 13

Care and maintenance GB IE Care Damaged power cables must be replaced by a competent person or qualified electrician. For indoor use only. OFF Avoid placing the freezer in a place when heavy moisture is present in order to minimise the possibility of its metal parts becoming rusted. Protection from heat The freezer should be kept away from any heat source or direct sunlight. Maintenance Machine cleanliness Warning: Always switch off the electricity supply and unplug before performing maintenance work. In the event of a fault, contact customer services. The freezer should be cleaned and maintained once a month. Wipe the inner and outer surface of the freezer and its accessories with wet cloth.
