(See page 7 for washing details)

WARNING! The AirFit liner inflation system is for cheek pads only, and is not designed to adjust for an ill-fitting helmet. Proper fitment of the crown and cheek area is advised to be done by an authorized ScorpionExo dealer. Always check to make sure the crown liner and cheek pads are installed before using the helmet. A helmet without the crown liner and cheek pads may increase your risk of serious injury or death. Ventilation systems are engineered to maximize your comfort in a wide range of tempertures. Your helmet ventilation systems should be kept clear of any obstructions including dirt, insects or other items which could interfere with proper airflow. The ventilation system plays an important role, especially during physical exertion or hot-weather riding. 2

Using the AirFit inflatable cheek liner for a personalized fit. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE FIT WHILE RIDING. INFLATION While wearing your VX-R70 use your thumb to press the red inflation ball at the chin bar multiple times to the desired fit. Avoid setting the pressure too tight to your cheeks. Release the air and re-pump if fit is too tight DEFLATION Deflate before you attempt to remove your helmet from your head. Press the small metal air release button next to the red inflation button to quickly release the air pressure. The air will slowly release in a few seconds. 3 DO NOT modify, puncture, or damage the air bladders in any way. If the air bladders, or any other part of the inflation/deflation system becomes damaged or faulty please contact Kido Sports USA at 888-212-0688

KwikWick II Liner Removal REMOVING THE CHEEK PADS 1. Grip one cheek pad by slipping your fingers behind the pad near the eye port. Gently pull the cheek pad away from the helmet to release the three plastic retainer snaps. 2. Remove the plastic cheek pad flange from the helmets lower rim along the rubber trim. Reverse entire process to reinstall. REMOVING THE CROWN LINER Once both cheek pads are removed grasp the crown liner near the back of the head and pull the liner toward the eye port to release the two plastic snaps. Once unsnapped gently tug on the crown liner to release it from the forehead tension groove. Reverse entire process to reinstall.

Chin Strap Attachment Chin Vent Replacement Lead the chinstrap through eyelets on both rings. Curl back and thread the strap through the taller ring with the nylon pull tab. Securely tighten the strap until comfortably snug. Press and snap the end of the strap. The removable chin vent piece gives the option of replacement from damage or ease of cleaning. Simply slide up the lock tab with your finger and lift out the chin vent piece while the lock tab is in the up position. Place the new chin vent piece into place and slide the lock tab down into its normal locking position. LOCK TAB VENT PIECE 5

Cleaning Your Helmet System None of the components of your ScorpionExo helmet can be damaged by water. The crown liner and cheek pads are removable and machine washable. We recommend hand washing them in the sink or a bucket using warm water and a mild detergent such as dish soap. Do not place the liner parts in the dryer as excess heat may damage the foam and coverings. The shell of your helmet should be cleaned using only a mild detergent and water. NEVER USE PETROLEUM BASED CHEMICALS, SOLVENTS, GASOLINE, CLEANING AGENTS OR ADHESIVES to clean the shell or liner since damage may occur. Warning For your safety, it is important that you completely read the owner s manual and all warning labels. DO NOT DO NOT ride without snugly fastening your chinstrap. DO NOT clean your helmet with petroleum products, solvents, benzene, thinner or cleaning agents. DO NOT paint over your helmet s finish without totally protecting and isolating the shock-absorbing liner and plastic parts. Your warranty will otherwise be invalidated. DO NOT drop your helmet from any height onto a hard surface. This could cause damage to your helmet s finished and/or decrease its ability to protect you. DO NOT place your helmet on your motorcycle s rearview mirror: The sharp pressure from the mirror s edge will compress and damage the helmet s shock-absorbing liner. DO NOT place your helmet on the motorcycle s seat or fuel tank. It can easily roll off and hit the ground causing damage to the helmet. It is best to place your helmet on the ground so it cannot fall in any direction. DO NOT modify any part of your helmet, e.g., drilling the shell or cutting and pressing the shock absorbing liner. Installation of sound systems, speakers and microphones reduces your helmet s ability to protect you and is not recommended. DO NOT use the helmet again if it has either been dropped or involved in an accident. Replace it even if the damage is not visible to the naked eye. DO NOT place your headliners and cheek pads in the dryer after washing. Allow them to air dry. DO NOT use paint which requires heat curing.
