The journey from London Liverpool Street station to Chelmsford takes around 35 minutes, with trains running on a regular basis. BY AIR London Stansted and London Southend are both around a 35-minute drive from Writtle. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are easily accessible via the M25. BY CAR Writtle University College is about 15 minutes drive from the M25, with ample parking on-site for students and visitors. We are clearly signposted from the A414 Writtle bypass. If approaching from the east, take the A1060 Sawbridgeworth Road from Chelmsford, as far as Lordship Road, and follow the signposts to Writtle University College. The postcode for sat navs is: CM1 3RR BY BUS A regular bus service runs between Chelmsford and Writtle Village Green. BY COACH A regular coach service is available to Chelmsford bus station from London and all major London airports (Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick and Southend). BY BIKE There is also a cycle route that leads directly into the City of Chelmsford which takes approximately 20 minutes.
THE NORTHUMBERLAND BUILDING The Northumberland Building offers two modern, flexible lecture theatres and exhibition space with audio-visual facilities in a self-contained building with a large reception foyer. Breakout areas can also be accommodated. Free car parking facilities are available directly outside the building.
CONFERENCE SUITE The Conference Suite is ideal for corporate meetings and intimate events. The three rooms and own foyer area can be hired separately or as a complete suite, offering conference and dining facilities. Breakout areas can also be accommodated.
SPORTS SCIENCE CENTRE The Sports Science Centre offers three separate conference rooms suitable for smaller meetings. Free car parking is available directly outside of the building, which is also located opposite Tiptree Tearooms. Breakout areas can also be accommodated.
CONFERENCE HALL, LECTURE ROOMS AND COMPUTER SUITES In addition to the purpose built conference suites, we also have a number of Lecture Rooms, Computer Suites and the main Conference Hall available for hire within the main University College building. Breakout areas can also be accommodated.
