Summary description General description The product is suitable for cold-storage/deep-freeze rooms in commercial plants. The construction provides for close installation on the ceiling, reducing the risk of contamination on the upper surface of the product. The coolers are provided with axial fans. The standard model casing for the NE0,0,5 are manufactured from white enamelled sheet aluminium. NE56 & 6 Industrial models use casing manufactured from plain plastic protected Aluminium plate. Electric heating rods, drain tray elements and fan ring heaters are single phase and rated at 0 V. Important! Avoid unnecessary opening of doors to cold-storage/deep-freeze rooms. Hot air flowing into the room causes icing on the finned coils. Free air circulation within the cold-storage/deep-freeze room is necessary in order to obtain maximum cooling effect. The finned surfaces should be clean and free from dust and ice. 5 6 9 8 0 7 Pos Denomination Pos Denomination Pos Denomination Bracket 5 Cooling coil 9 Terminal box (heating rod) Terminal box (fan) 6 Axial fan 0 Condensate connection Electric heating rod 7 Screws (NE0-5) Drain tray Fan ring heater 8 Drain tray heater Hinge (NE56-6)
Receipt of goods and installation Prior to leaving the factory the product went through a thorough quality control and serviceability. If the product, in spite of this control, should be defective or suffer transport damage, the sales and haulier representative should be contacted immediately.. The product should be transported to and placed in position before removing the straps.. Cut the straps off () and discard the lid of the packing (). NE0/0/5 uses cardboard packing. NE56/6 & NE5 with Air sock use a wooden crate.. NE0/0/5 remove the cardboard () 6 undo the screws () and carefully invert product. NE56/6 & NE5 with Air sock lift up the product onto the enclosed pallet with the intended hoist.. Lift up the product onto the enclosed pallet with the intended hoist. 5. Mount the product using the factory provided brackets (5). Then lower the pallet (packing) with the hoist (8). When the product is packed in wooden a case (7) and provided with supporting frame (6) these should be removed and the enclosed plastic plugs should be replaced in the holes. 5 7 8 5

Installation The installations should only be carried out by authorised personnel according to national standards. Connection of fan NE0 is via fixed cables connecting directly to single-phase 0 V circuit breaker(s). NE0/5/56/6 are connected as follow.. Undo the screws () with a screw driver and remove the cap (). Cable is connected through fitting () on the lower side of the cover. Connect according to electric instructions in the cap. I Setting of overload protection The diagram to the right, shows the setting of overload at different room temperatures. Standard motor current data rated at -0 C.,0 0,9 E.g. at a room temperature of 0 C the overload should be set to 0,9 x I rating data 0,8 0 0 +0 0 0 C NE with Air sock motor current rated at 0 C. Connection of electric heating Turn the screws () anticlockwise one turn, ( on the short side and on the long side) and remove the end cover. Insert the cable through the upper edge on the long side and connect the electric heating to the terminal box. 8
Installation Pipework installation of a DX unit cooler The product should be charged with the quantity and type of refrigerant stated by the installation engineer. The connection pipework is located at one end of the product and accessed by opening the end cover as described on page 8. Expansion valve is connected on pipe (). Suction gas line is connected on pipe (). Suction pressure tapping (). UT 6 Pipework installation of air cooler The product should be filled with the quantity and appropriate brine stated by the installation engineer. The connection pipework is located at one end of the product and accessed by opening the end cover as described on page 8. An air vent is placed on the high point of the collecting manifold (). The supply pipework is connected to pipe (5). Return pipework is connected to pipe (6). IN 5 Connection of drain tray Connection of condensate drain (7) to the drain tray (8) is via a threaded connection of a size specified in the technical brochure. Preventive maintenance Caution! Ensure that the power supply has been isolated Changing Fan NE0 Disconnect the cable from the fan at the circuit breaker. NE0/5/56/6 Disconnect the electric connections in the distribution box on the fan. Undo the bolts () ( pcs) including washers and unfasten the fan (). NE with Air sock. Disconnect the electric connection in the distribution box on the fan. Dismantle the Air sock. Undo the bolts () (6-8 pcs) including washers and unfasten the fan (). Fan set-up Insert the screws loosely, including the washers, into the two upper holes (). Centre the fan and fasten the screws at the bottom. N.B. Ensure the fan-shaped washer () is between washer (5) and fan grille. Electric defrosting Electric heating rods, drain tray elements & fan ring heaters are single-phase 0 V and connected to the terminal box on the side of the cooler according to separate wiring diagram. The electric rods are made of stainless material SS. Change of electric heating rod Disconnect the electric cables from the distribution box. Then undo the lock 5 5 5 washer () and pull out the heating rod (5). Assemble the heating rod in reverse order. Change of fan heating coil Disconnect the electric cables from the distribution box. Then undo the plate (6), which hold the heating coil. Assemble in reverse order. Standstill During long stoppage periods, the fans must be run at least once a month. The fans should be run until the motor(s) have reached operating temperature i.e. for approximately 5 minutes. Change of drain tray heating elements Disconnect the electric cables from the distribution box. Then undo the plates (7) which hold the heating elements. Assemble the heating element in reverse order. 7 6 0
