If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact our authorised service centre. WARNING! Risk of suffocation. Children should not play with the packaging. EN considered not compliant with the intended use and therefore dangerous. Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage and frequency indicated on the technical data of the appliance correspond to those of the mains supply. The technical data is on the appliance or on the power supply unit. (see illustrative guide) If the appliance is provided with a voltage/frequency selector, set the selector correctly to comply with the mains supply parameters. This appliance is only to be used with the type of detachable control unit that is marked on the appliance. Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating. This appliance can be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision and with the control always set to minimum temperature setting. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating. DO NOT use the appliance with wet hands, damp feet or barefoot. DO NOT pull the supply cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket. DO NOT pull or lift the appliance by the supply cord. The cable and control unit of the appliance can give rise to risks of entanglement, strangulation and tripping if not correctly positioned. If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Contact our authorised technical service centre for any repairs. If the supply cord is damaged, contact our authorised technical service centre for replacement of the control unit. DO NOT use this appliance to warm animals. This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals. DO NOT use if wet. DO NOT fall asleep with the appliance is switched on. EN DESCRIPTION OF THE HEATPAD CONTROL Refer to the illustrative drawing at the beginning of this instructions booklet to verify your appliance equipment. 1. Temperature display 2. Standby display 3. Temperature selector 4. Power ON/OFF USING THE HEATED CUSHION 5. Heatpad connector 6. Control connector WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance if there are visible signs of damage. WARNING! NOT suitable for children under the age of 3. The heated cushion is designed to warm the body. The heated cushion can be placed on parts of the body, such as: neck, shoulders, back, abdomen and joints, depending on the relative model. CONNECTING AND REMOVING THE INTELLIHEAT CONTROL 4 WARNING! This heatpad is only to be used with the control unit supplied. The reference of the control unit is specified on the label sewn onto the heatpad. Insert the control connector (6) to the heatpad connector (5) (Diagram [C]). Insert the plug into the mains socket. The heated cushion has 5 temperature settings. TEMPERATURE SETTINGS 5 Instant preheat 4 Fast preheat 3 High continuous use 2 Med continuous use 1 Low continuous use See illustrative guide on page I (Diagram [B]). To switch the heated cushion on press ON/OFF switch (4) the display will light up and temperature setting 5 will be illuminated, for instant preheat. For fast preheat, press the temperature selector (3) until 4 is illuminated on the LED display. For continuous use, press the temperature selector (3) and select your preferred temperature from 1-3. Auto Shut Off Timer The heated cushion will provide a 3 hour heat treatment, then it will automatically shut
off. The standby light (2) (Diagram [B]), will be blue, after the 3 hours has elapsed, to indicate that the product has switched off automatically. EN To switch the heated cushion back on, press the ON/OFF switch twice (4), and select your continuous use temperature by pressing the temperature selector (3), and chose between 1-3. SWITCH-OFF Switch the heatpad off by pressing the ON/OFF switch (4) (Diagram [B]). Remove the plug from the socket. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE The heated cushion + cover are washable. The washing symbols are also on the heatpad care label. WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance. MACHINE WASHING The heatpad can be machine washed at 30 C with a normal cycle. Only the gentle spin cycle is to be used. DO NOT use an extra spin cycle. MACHINE WASHING The fur cover and the cushion can be machine washed at 40 C with a normal cycle. Only the gentle spin cycle is to be used. DO NOT use an extra spin cycle. DRYING Set the dryer at a low temperature. DO NOT apply pegs on the electrical parts when hanging the heatpad outside to dry so not to damage it. DO NOT use the heatpad until it is completely dry. DO NOT dry-clean DO NOT bleach DO NOT iron WARNING! Hang the heatpad without using pegs on the wired area so as not to cause any damage to it. DISPOSAL The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards. In accordance with the Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life. The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic 5
EN equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the appliance can be handed over to the retailer when a new, equivalent appliance is purchased. Retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400 m 2 can also be handed electronic products that are to be disposed of measuring less than 25 cm, free of charge and with no obligation to buy.
