Merritt College The horticulture facility at Merritt College is one of the largest in northern California. Housed on seven and one-half acres, the facility includes 5,000 square feet of greenhouses, a 5,000 square-foot lath house, drafting and floral design labs, and the Emile L. Labadie Arboretum. This two-year program is designed to prepare students for employment in the field of. One or more certificates in will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the requirements listed below.
