More Craft. The beautiful veneers found on Portfolio doors are hand crafted for us by the internationally renowned Italian veneer makers, Alpi. Founded by Pietro Alpi in 1919, and now headed by his grandson Vittorio, Alpi offers a balance of market-leading technical innovation matched by the very finest craftsmanship. Over many years, their skill in designing innovative, bespoke solutions has seen them partner with leading luxury brands and prestigious names in furniture, design and interior architecture. It is Alpi s unrivalled ability to create such a diverse variety of natural wood finishes and grains, as well as highly innovative bespoke effects and patterns, that have helped make the Portfolio Collection so unique. More Precision. To make the finish of a Portfolio door as precise and perfect as possible demands the collaboration and craftsmanship of our teams working in both Italy and the UK. It falls to our UK craftsmen to carefully apply specially selected solid colour lippings to the doors long edges in order to co-ordinate with the Italian made veneers. With concealed lippings on both of the long edges, each door is then precisely trimmed and routered to give it the crisp, clean, signature Portfolio outline. Applying a precision finish with these specially selected lippings is an example of the level of workmanship and attention to fine detail that defines the Portfolio aesthetic. Portfolio is the best range of doors I have seen during my 22 years with the company. Investments in machinery and personnel mean Premdor can take it to the next level.
