JELD-WEN is Proud to Introduce the New Custom Pocket Double-Hung and Casement Our new Custom replacement window is perfect for residential and light commercial applications where the building s existing window frame and surrounding wall are in good condition, but the sash is in need of improvement. The convenience of a replacement pocket window will be available with all the flexibility and custom capabilities of our Custom window line including multiple wood species, 10 hardware finishes, multiple interior finish options and 41 clad colors. The new JELD-WEN Custom Pocket Double-Hung and Casement windows will be offered with a clad exterior that has 41 beautiful finish options in addition to Copper. An all-wood exterior is also offered on the casement perfect for those situations where you want the freedom to paint or stain your window s exterior. Other important features for this high-end replacement window include JELD-WEN s exclusive AuraLast Wood that has a 20-year warranty against wood rot, the ability to accommodate several existing frame sill slopes, numerous divided lite profiles and high performance glass packages for optimal energy performance, including ENERGY STAR qualification. A concealed jambliner, concealed tilt latches, and narrow or wide bottom rail options are also available on the double-hung. Numerous combinations of interior finishes are available including several wood species, stains, antique finishes and paint color options. Replacement pocket windows are ideal for historic renovations where the original frames and surrounding wall are performing well and preservation of the original design character is paramount. With multiple divided lite profiles to choose from, including putty glazed, it s easy to deliver structural performance, energy efficiency and historic architectural characteristics. A replacement pocket window is easy to install because it only requires removal of the inside stop, sash, and any protruding channels or tracks of the frame. This new window is available for wind zone 4 impact with HVHZ. Meeting this level of performance means the product can withstand an eight foot long, 9 pound, 2x4 impacting the window at 50 feet per second. Vinyl WINDOWS & Patio Doors Builders Vinyl Expanded Offering The Builders Vinyl Window and Patio Door platform has expanded into Florida. We are pleased to offer Builders Series products rated DP50 with Florida approvals. The new Florida approvals are available on standard modular sizing and Florida sizes (simply select your preference in QuickQuote). In addition, this offering is now available with the b" welded Florida Flange option for use in buck openings or even as J-Channel on nail fin units. Lastly, the Builders Vinyl Sliding Patio Door is now available at DP35 and DP50 rating with Florida approval number. These ratings are currently limited to the 5'0" and 6'0" widths on the 6'8" height. Multiples are also available; please check with your JELD-WEN sales representative for details. Performance Enhancements At JELD-WEN, we make performance a priority every day. New performance standards we ve achieved in our vinyl products include DP35 platforms. We are introducing the DP35 rating to our BrickmouldVinyl product offering DP35 and DP50 options on Builders Vinyl Sliding Patio Doors. These ratings are limited to the 6'0" x 6'8" size. These ratings are also applicable on the ADA Builders Vinyl Sliding Patio Door, which comes ready to install from the plant and does not require any weatherstrip change out or handleset swaps. DP50 only available from Ringtown and Vista DP50 option now on Drywall Tilt Single-Hung, which allows homeowners to install a DP50 on an upper floor and still keep single-hungs consistent throughout the house. JELD-WEN developed a bracketed system that allows the glass and meeting rail to be removed for use as drywall access; once the drywall pass-through is complete, simply re-attach the brackets and bed the glass with a wet glaze / tape glaze hybrid DP50 option now on Premium Vinyl Sliding Windows.
