For your safety, all the information in this User s Guide must be followed to minimize the risk of electrical shock, and prevent property damage or personal injury. WARNING! CAUTION! Incoming power to the cycle module must be 120 VAC ±10%, 1 Phase, 50 / 60 Hz with max 10 amp service. CAUTION! This Air Dryer does not contain an internal Surge Protection Device (SPD). If an SPD is required it must be supplied by the user. IMPORTANT! 5. Overview & Specifications 5.1 Product Description The P08033W Air Dryer Cycling Module from PUREGAS is designed to provide total control and flexibility for the cycling of up to 8 air dryers. 6. Installing Your Cycling Module 6.1 Safety & Warning Information WARNING! Internal surfaces may be hot. Extreme care should be exercised to avoid contact with live electrical circuits. Many procedures performed during installation, and testing of this cycle module require the equipment to be running, creating a situation for potential electrical shock. It is highly recommended that you remove all jewelry before performing any procedures. CAUTION! Performing procedures not described in this User s Guide or installing components not supplied by PUREGAS is NOT RECOMMENDED AND MAY VOID THE WARRANTY. 6.2 Before You Begin 6.2.1 Carefully inspect the unit, including the shipping box, for ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY SHIPPING. If any shipping damage is detected, it is important to file a claim with the shipping company prior to continuing the installation procedures. 6.2.2 Read the entire Installing Your Cycling Module section to familiarize yourself with the components and procedures before performing the Air Dryer Cycling Module installation. 6.2.3 Verify the installation location of the Air Dryer Cycling Module: 6.2.3.1 Well ventilated and free from abrasive dust or chemicals. 6.2.3.2 Meets the following power requirements: 120 ±10%VAC, 1 Phase, 50 / 60 Hz Max 10 amp service 6.2.4 Notify the alarm center of the installation and potential for alarms during the process (as necessary). 6.4 Required Tools and Materials Small Phillips head screwdriver Medium Phillips head screwdriver Small flat head screwdriver Drill 1/4 Drill bit 6.5 Installation Steps 6.5.1 Remove Air Dryer Cycling Module and all contents from packaging. NOTE: If ANY SHIPPING DAMAGE is detected, file a claim with the shipping company prior to continuing the installation procedures. 6.5.2 Loosen the fasteners on the Front Panel and then swing open. 6.5.3 Check for loose parts or wiring. NOTE: If ANY SHIPPING DAMAGE is detected, file a claim with the shipping company prior to continuing the installation procedures. Page 11 of 56

6.5.4 Place the Air Dryer Cycling Module at the operating location. 6.5.4.1 Mount on rack using optional part number P011265 (with included hardware). OR 6.5.5 Pre-drill holes in wall with a ¼ drill bit. Mount on wall using included wall mounting anchors and screws. 6.5.6 Attach and secure the DB9 cables routed from the Air Dryer Interface Kits, starting with Dryer #1 on the left. Page 12 of 56

6.5.7 Wire an external wire pair to the included Power Fail Alarm Plug. 6.5.8 Insert the Power Fail Alarm Plug into the Power Fail Alarm Socket. 6.5.9 Plug the power cord into a 120 ±10% VAC, 1 phase, 50 / 60 Hz power outlet. 6.5.10 Power the Air Dryer Cycling Module ON. Verify the Display Screen lights up. Page 13 of 56

6.5.11 REGISTER YOUR AIR DRYER CYCLING MODULE. See section 7. for details. 6.6 Installation Checklist No shipping damage was detected. Wall or Rack mounted properly. 8.2 Powering the Module ON & OFF CAUTION! Incoming power to cycle module must be 120 ±10%VAC, 1 Phase, 50 / 60 Hz with 10 amp service max. 8.2.1 Power Switch -Controls the main power to the module. 8.2.2 When the module is first turned ON, all 8 LED s will be illuminated. The LED s will remain illuminated until the initial setup of the Air Dryer Cycling Module. Once the Air Dryer Cycling Module is setup, the LED s will display the status of all the dryers connected. ONLINE Indicated with a green LED. This will visually show which dryer is running. STANDBY Indicated with an amber LED. This will visually show which dryer is in a standby or emergency backup mode. ALARM Indicated with a red LED. This will visually show which dryer is in an alarm. Page 17 of 56

8.3 Using the Front Panel Display CAUTION! The Display Screen is covered by a clear protective layer that guards against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). DO NOT REMOVE THIS LAYER. 8.3.1 Arrow Buttons Used to access, navigate, and change values in the Setup screens. 8.3.2 ESC Button Allows the user to Exit from the current screen. 8.3.3 Button Accepts the current information in the Setup screen. 8.3.4 Display Screen - Shows the current date, current time, current cycle mode, next cycle date, next cycle time readings, and how to access the Setup Menu. 8.4 Setup Menu Air Dryer Cycling Module Setup Menus are programmed for initial setup as well as modifications that need to be done in the future. Press the Up ( ) Arrow Button to access the Setup screens. 8.5 Enter Keyword Screen 8.5.1.1 Press the Up ( ) & Down ( ) Arrow Buttons to change the value of the selected digit. 8.5.1.2 Press the Right ( ) & Left ( ) Arrow Buttons to move the underscore beneath the next digit to change. 8.5.1.3 Press the Enter ( ) Arrow Button. 9.2 Cycle Setup Menu 9.2.1.1 Verify the cursor is under the C. Press the Enter ( ) Arrow Button to access the Cycle Setup Screen. 9.2.2 Dryer Information Screen 9.2.2.1 Press the Enter ( ) Arrow Button after you verify all dryers are connected. 9.2.3 Dryer Verification Screen 9.2.3.1 Press the Right ( ) & Left ( ) Arrow Buttons to move the underscore beneath the digit to select. 9.2.3.2 If NO is chosen the next screen will count down from 10 to 0 and return to the Dryer Information Screen. 9.2.3.3 If YES is chosen the screen will change to the Minimum Dryer Screen. 9.2.4 Set Minimum Number of Dryers Online Screen 9.2.4.1 Press the Set ( ) Arrow Button to change the minimum number of dryers to be placed online. 9.2.4.2 Press the Up ( ) & Down ( ) Arrow Buttons to change the value of the selected digit. 9.2.4.3 Press the Done ( ) Arrow Button. This will lock in the new setting value. 9.2.4.4 Press the Up ( ) Arrow Button to scroll to the next screen. 9.2.5 Set Dryer Roster Screen The dryer roster screen allows the user to set each dryer as (O)nline. (S)tandby, or (E)mergency Backup. 11. Using the Remote Interface 11.1 Status Screen 11.1.1 The Online column shows which dryers are currently running. This is indicated with a green circle. 11.1.2 The Standby column shows which dryers are currently in a standby mode. This is indicated with an amber circle. 11.1.3 The Alarm column shows which dryers are currently in alarm. This is indicated with a red circle. 11.1.4 In the Reset column, the word Reset will appear in blue text. This will occur when a dryer shows an alarm. To remotely reset the air dryer you must click Reset and type in the password. (You may use either the maintenance or system level keywords.) Page 39 of 56

11.1.5 The Alarm Date/Time column shows the date and time the alarm occurred. 11.1.6 The Status column shows the current status of the air dryers. Green indicates the air dryer is running. Flashing Green indicates the dryer is being exercised. Amber indicates the air dryer is either available or is a backup dryer. All Flashing LED s indicates the dryer is in maintenance mode. 11.1.7 The Model column shows the model of the air dryers being cycled. The colors coincide with the current status of the air dryers. 11.1.8 The Cycle Mode field shows the current mode the air dryers are being cycled. The choices are: 24hr mode 48hr mode Days (MTWTF) 11.1.9 The Next Cycle field shows the next day and time the dryers will cycle. 11.1.10 The Current Time field shows the current date and time in a 24hr format. 11.1.11 The Minimum Number of Dryers Online column shows the number of dryers that must be online at all times. 11.1.12 The Roster column shows the current configuration the air dryers will cycle. This is dependent on how many dryers need to be online at all times and which dryers are considered emergency backup. Page 40 of 56

11.1.13 The Skip Weekends column shows if the Air Dryer Cycling Module has been programmed not to cycle the air dryers on the weekends. This is indicated with a Yes or No. 11.2 Cycle Setup Screen NOTE: Once a change is made and the Accept button is clicked, the user will be prompted to enter a keyword. Only the System Level Keyword is allowed to make any changes. 11.2.1 The Status column allows the user to configure the air dryer status from the drop down menu. The user may choose Running, Available, or Backup (emergency backup). 11.2.2 The Model column allows the user to input the type of dryer that is being cycled. Place the cursor in the empty field and type in the model number. Page 41 of 56

11.2.3 The Minimum Number of Dryers Online field allows the user to set the number of dryers that must be online at all times from the drop down menu. 11.2.4 The Set Next Cycle Time field allows the user to set the next date and time the dryers will transfer. Place the cursor into the appropriate field to change the date and time. The time is shown in a 24hr format. The Set Cycle Mode filed the user to select a cycle mode from the drop down menu. The user may chose 24HR, 48HR, or DAYS NOTE: If DAYS is chosen, the user must choose the day or days that the dryers will transfer by clicking the mouse on the days of the week. 11.2.5 The Set Dryer to Maintenance field allows the user to choose a dryer they wish to maintain from the drop down menu. Once the dryer maintenance is completed the user may clear the maintenance mode from the drop down menu. 11.2.6 The Set Dryer to Exercise field allows the user to choose a backup dryer to exercise from the drop down menu. The user can also choose the shift of 8hr, 16hr, or 24hr. If the user wishes to end the shift early they may do so by choosing clear in the drop down menu. 11.2.7 The Set Skip Weekends field allows the user to program the air dryers not to cycle on the weekends from the drop down menu. If DAYS is chosen on the Set Cycle Mode, skip weekends is not an option. 11.2.8 The Set Alarm Delay field allows the user to program a 0 10 second delay before the Air Dryer Cycling Module will respond to a dryer alarm before bringing another dryer Online. 11.3 Reporting Set Up Screen The Reporting Setup Screen allows the user to add an email or a pager for dryer cycling. It will contact the customer on any scheduled or non-scheduled air dryer shift. NOTE: Once a change is made and the Accept button is clicked, the user will be prompted to enter a keyword. Only the System Level Keyword is allowed to make any changes. 11.3.1 The System Name allows the user to enter the name of the central office where the Air Dryer Cycling Module is located. 11.3.2 The Email Address column allows the user to enter up to three email addresses the module will send information to. 11.3.3 The Description column allows the user to enter a description of the email address. 11.3.4 The Secure? check box allows the user to check if the server being used requires a certain SMTP User Name and SMTP Password. 11.3.5 The SMTP Server allows the user to enter the IP Address of the SMTP Server on their network. 11.3.6 The SMTP User Name allows the user to enter a user name of the central office. If the Secure? check box was check then type in the user name that is valid on the SMTP Server. 11.3.7 The SMTP Password allows the user to type in the password of the SMTP Server. This will be used only if the Secure? check box is checked. 11.3.8 The Email Address allows the user to enter the email address for the central office. Example: CycleModule@CentralOffice.info. 11.3.9 The Pager Description allows the user to enter a name of the pager to be used. NOTE: the word PAGER must be typed before any other content. 11.3.10 The Service Phone: allows the user to enter the phone number of the paging company. 11.3.11 The Pager Script allows the user to either enter the paging script or chose a preexisting pager script. The user click on this heading to sort this column ascending or descending. 11.4.2 The Event column indicates what event took place. This column is informational only and it cannot be sorted. 11.4.4 The Date and Time columns indicate the date and time in which the event occurred on. The user can click on these headings to sort these columns ascending or descending. 11.4.5 The Navigation buttons allow the user to navigate through all of the pages present in the Event Log. This troubleshooting guide is intended to simplify the isolation of problems, present possible causes, provide test procedures for verification, and suggest corrective actions to restore the Air Dryer Cycling Module back to normal operation. Each section begins with the most likely cause(s) of the issue. Otherwise, they start from the simplest possibilities and progress to more complicated ones. This troubleshooting guide is designed to be easy to follow and very effective when used properly.
