Showers N&C Phlexicare offer the most comprehensive range of both electric and thermostatic mixer showers with safety in mind. Hot water temperature is controlled and stabilised to avoid the potential for scalding. Thermostatic temperature stability, easy use controls, colour contrasted covers, tactile raised areas and extended riser kits are some of the extra features provided in our electric shower offer. Whilst manufacturing our own dedicated healthcare mixer showers, we also work closely with brand leaders, such as Triton, Mira and Redring to provide our customers with maximum choice. Reducing the thermostat temperature on the boiler can be harmful to users as water systems can nurture a bacteria in water temperatures between 20-45 C which can cause Legionnaire s disease. As the water temperature rises above 60 C, the majority of legionella is killed within minutes. However the risk of scalding through high water temperatures can create a risk to vulnerable people. As a result, selecting the correct showering system is paramount to ensure the safety of users and avoid potential injuries gained through scalding, where users may not be able to react quickly enough to avoid serious harm. We offer a range of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) for efficient blending of hot water (stored at temperatures high enough to kill bacteria) with cold water to deliver a constant and safe, outlet water temperature to baths and basins to prevent scalding. The Phleximax 50 is a multi-purpose drainage system for both concrete and wooden wet floor installations. Suitable for both vinyl and tiling. The overall diameter is 200mm, with a visible diamater of 120mm and flow rate of 48 litres per minute. Overal height is 76mm with an outlet diameter of 50mm. Supplied complete with adapter. The Phleximax 50 Vertical is the same system but with a vertical outlet which allows a straight through floor drainage option. The 59mm Phleximax S-Series floor gully is suitable for both vinyl and tiled floor finishes. This gully is incredibly shallow, with a total height of 59mm which fits into shallow concrete slabs. With this type of gully you can avoid having to install a vertical outlet. Can not be used with shower decks. We have a variety of stainless steel grates available which are made to suit the Phleximax S-Series 59mm gully. The rounded 150mm diameter drop grate shown below is suitable for vinyl floors only, whereas the squared 200x200mm grates shown on the right hand side are suitable for tiled floors only. P6882441 When using the waterproof pipe collar this tool should be used to cut the perfect circle for securing into the Phleximax gulley system, alternatively it can be used for cutting vinyl prior to securing into the Phleximax 50. 1. Place the foot of the Phlexiknife in the gully. 2. Lay the vinyl over the foot and press until the pivot pushes through. 3. Attach the arm of the knife to the pivot and cut out the hole. 4. Remove the foot of the Phlexiknife in the gully. 5. Heat the vinyl. 6. Put the clamping ring in place with the text facing upwards. Place the grating on top and press down. Pumped Wastes Where a shower tray has been fitted and access to the floor below can be gained (but is minimal), two options are available: Shallow bottom exit kit will fit below the tray and has a 35mm deep gulley. Standard bottom exit kit has a 70mm deep gulley Where a floor former or a screeded floor has been fitted, an untrapped gulley can be installed and is suitable for both vinyl and tiled floors. Where a shower tray has been installed but the floor is unbreachable for drainage, the top exit allows the waste to be taken away from the top of the tray and out through the pump unit.

Gravity drainage is not always an option when fitting a level access shower base, for example in apartment blocks. Whale provide a reliable, proven solution for waste water removal. Using a small bore pipe, waste water is removed up from the shallow gulley and raised by the pump into the existing waste system.

This option is supplied with a flow switch, which should be located in the water supply line to the shower. When the shower is turned on, the pump starts automatically. The pump will then turn off automatically after the over-run when the shower is turned off. One flow switch is required if used with a single supply of water. Where two water supply inlets are used a second flow switch must be fitted to enable the pump to operate effectively (available as part of the Mixer Valve Conversion Kit AK1570 P6821628 which also includes a flow reducer) This option comes with a flow switch for automatic operation and is suitable for wet floor installations. The system comes complete with pump, pump cover, transformer, 200mm dia. x 35mm deep bottom waste and pipe fittings. As these seats are wall mounted consideration should be given to the type of fixings used to secure them. The appropriate fixings (not supplied) to suit the wall construction should be used and advice is available from your local depot.
