For everyone s safety, follow ALL Installation and Operating Directions. IMPORTANT: THESE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP SAFE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Important Safety Instructions When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person, including the following: CAUTION- High temperature, keep electrical cords, drapery, and other furnishings at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and away from the side and rear. Read all instructions before using heater. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating unattended. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the heater. Always unplug heater when not in use. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair. Do not use outdoors. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet. Connect to properly grounded outlets only. Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater. Do not block or tamper with the heater in any manner while it is in operation. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons. Avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts off the heater when parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the heater shuts off, immediately turn the heater OFF and inspect for any objects, on or adjacent to the heater, which may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER UNTIL IT IS RESET. To reset the heater, turn it OFF, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and wait five to ten minutes for the unit to cool down before plugging it back in and turning the heater on. Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the heater. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden or wet atmosphere. This heater is intended for use in general use only. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or learning disabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF SWITCH AS THE SOLE MEANS OF POWERING DOWN THE HEATER WHEN SERVICING OR MOVING. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD AS WELL. Technical Specifications

Supply: 110-120V~ 60Hz Rated power: 1500W Lighting: 40W E12 SES Clear Candle Bulb Getting Started Remove the heater from the box. Remove any packaging materials from the product. Place the packaging inside the box and either store or dispose of safely. Included In the Box: (Qty 1) Heater (with glass fireplace cover) (Qty 1) Remote Control (Qty 1) Instruction Manual Mounting Hardware Pack: (Qty 1) Long Mounting Bracket (Qty 1) Short Mounting Bracket (Qty 6) Long Screws (Qty 2) Short Screws (Qty 6) Plastic Wall Plugs Precautions To Consider Before Mounting 2 People will be required to complete the mounting process. Keep all packaging until you have checked and counted all the parts and the contents of the mounting hardware. The mounting hardware pack contains small items that should be kept away from young children. We suggest that after opening the mounting hardware pack, you place all the contents into a container, to reduce the risk of losing small pieces. Do not plug in or power up the heater until it is secure to the wall and the instructions are read fully. Please choose a mounting location wisely, prior to starting. A power outlet must be within the cord s reach. The long mounting bracket must be secured horizontally, and the power cable routed to the bottom right of the heater. Please observe the recommended heights and dimensions for mounting the heater. This appliance is designed to be mounted to a wall at a minimum height of 2 feet from the floor, and a minimum 3 feet from the ceiling (for optimum heat ventilation). Note that the long mounting bracket will be hooked to the heater towards the top, rear edge of the heater, and not the center. Consider this when mounting the bracket. Take necessary precautions to avoid cutting or damaging any cables or power cords. While drilling holes for the plugs, be cautious of electrical lines, metals, or items beyond the walls. Be sure that the wall you choose to mount on is solid, and will support the heater s approximate weight (30lbs). Make sure that the heater is safely out of the way while you are installing mounting hardware, as it may become a tripping hazard if left in the open. Please be cautious if you are set on mounting the heater low to the floor, as it may become a safety hazard to children and pets! Items Needed:

2 People Mounting Hardware Pack Power Drill #6 Drill Bit Medium Phillips Screwdriver Small Level Pencil for marking the wall (if you think you may have to erase) or a Fine Tip Marker Gloves Mounting Instructions (Reference Figures 1-4 On Next Page) 1. Select a wall and room location to mount your heater. a. Make sure it is a location where 1) the power cord will reach an outlet, 2) it is safe for kids and pets, and 3) the heater vents will not be obstructed by pictures, curtains, or anything that may prevent rear vent airflow (Ref. Fig. 1 for recommended placement dimensions, and useful heater dimensions) 2. Once the location is selected, take the mounting bracket and: a. Line it up horizontally. The flat side should be up against the wall, with the lip towards the top of the bracket, and leaning away from the wall. b. Straighten the bracket with your level. This is very important to keep the weight distribution even. c. Mark the four bracket screw positions on the wall, using your pencil or marker (Ref. Fig. 2A for detailed bracket dimensions and mounting information) 3. Drill 4 holes on the wall with a #6 drill bit, using the locations you marked on the wall as guides. 4. Insert 4 wall plugs into each of the holes. They may feel snug at first, which is normal. You may use the screwdriver handle to slightly tap them in until flush to the wall. 5. Once the plugs are secure, re-align the long mounting bracket to the holes, and use the long screws to secure it to the wall (The screwdriver is recommended to avoid stripping the screws and plugs). *At this point, remove the glass cover from the heater face, if not already done (Ref Fig.4 for removal). 6. With a second person assisting on either side, lift the heater up and engage the heater s rear ledge to lip on the long mounting bracket (Ref. Fig. 2B). Make sure it is centered, for even weight distribution. *Note that the heater s final resting position will be slightly angled downward. Do not release the heater until it is safely resting against the wall. 7. With the heater resting, you can now take the small mounting bracket, and line it up against the heater s underside and the wall. Mark the 2 remaining wall plug locations accordingly (Ref. Fig. 3 A and B). 8. With a second person assisting, remove the heater and place to one side, and safely out of the way. 9. Drill the final 2 holes for the remaining plugs at your marked locations, and insert the plugs into the wall as in step #4 above. 10. With a second person helping, re-mount the heater on to the long mounting bracket on the wall. 11. Install and secure the small mounting bracket to the heater s underside by using the 2 small screws provided and the 2 remaining long screws to secure to the wall plugs. 12. With a second person assisting on either side, lift, and place the front glass cover over the fire display, assuring that each of the 4 lugs aligns to each of the 4 bracket guides (Ref Fig. 4).

Replacing the Lamps/Bulbs (Reference Figures 5-8 Below) Precautions Before Replacing Lamps/Bulbs Warning-Always disconnect the heater completely from the power outlet before replacing bulb. Warning-The bulbs reach high temperatures during operation. Allow the bulbs to cool completely after powering the heater down, but before the replacement process. Note: Two people will be required for this process. Note: It is recommended that the heater be set on the floor, on its back (face up), in order to replace the bulbs. The Process (After Powering Off and Unplugging) 1. Gently remove the glass panel from the heater face. 2. Store the glass safely out of the way so that it does not get tripped on or damaged. 3. With assistance from a second person, carefully dismount and lower the heater to the floor, face up. 4. Towards the lower part of the heater s face there is a long, metal, rectangular cover, secured by three Philip's head screws. 5. Remove the three screws and lift the cover up, and off (Ref. Fig 5). 6. Carefully bend the flexible tinsel bar towards you, while pulling and removing the left end of the bar from the rubber grommet insert. Make sure the grommet stays in place and does not get lost (Ref. Fig 6 and 7). *Lifting the loose end of the flexible bar should give you enough space for removing the bulbs. 7. Remove the defective bulb by unscrewing it counterclockwise (Ref. Fig 8). 8. Replace with a 40W E12 SES Clear Candle bulb, by screwing it clockwise. *Make sure not to over-tighten the bulb, as it may cause damage to the bulb or the holder. 9. Reinstall the flexible tinsel bar by bending the bar towards you, while re-inserting into the grommet. 10. Make sure you straighten the flexible bar as much as possible (if you see bends) prior to re-installing the metal cover. 11. Once the bulbs are replaced, re-install the metal cover with the 3 screws. 12. With assistance from a second person, re-mount the heater onto the wall and re-install the glass cover.

You can then reconnect it to the power outlet and switch it back on. Maintenance WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER! Always turn OFF the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally with a slightly damp cloth (not dripping wet) using a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the case thoroughly before operating the heater. Caution: Do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard. The fan motor is factory lubricated for life and will not require further lubrication. Store the heater in a clean dry place when not in use. Warning: Any other servicing needed must be performed by an authorized service representative. Do not attempt to service the unit yourself. After Season Care: Store the heater in a cool, dry location. The manufacturer recommends storing the unit in its original carton. Troubleshooting Problem No operation/ no fan. No fire effect light. Solution Check for safety cut-off operation. Check the bulb by replacement.
