This year's conference had a wide variety of information from the speakers ranging from the importance of having good guidance notes to a fatality of a firefighter that occurred in the community of Nippising. The main focus was placed on the wellbeing and the mental stability of your personnel, and how to deal with the issue of the generation gap. Sunday morning we all participated in The Road to Mental Readiness Program through the Canadian Mental Health Conunission of Canada. We all were given a certificate of recognition for the completion of the program. Throughout the weekend, we also attended the Trade Show where we had the opportunity to look for best prices available on new equipment that we will require for this year and also in the upcoming few years such as the replacement of our SCBA's (Breathing Apparatus). I have attached a copy of the agenda for your perusal.
